Why can't we have nice things? Lol

There will definitely be no shortage of candidates considering the personnel we have on offense.

lol at all the replies at that Schefter tweet asking if Henry is going to come with Arthur Smith.

ATL makes sense.  Webster knows him well and Mularkey also has ties to the Falcons organization on top of what Smith did as the OC here.

They have some weapons he can work with.  Good fit.  Curious what he does for his staff.....

The question for Smith will be whether he gets a better opportunity than the Falcons job.

Perhaps albeit on the surface the Chargers job looks great but you also will have to compete with Mahomes forever.  NFC South had Brees and Brady at the end so maybe that's more winnable short term?

Would be surprised if Daboll didn't get the Chargers job.

Going to be interesting to see what the Falcons do in the draft as it might be tough for them to pass on a QB if Wilson or Fields falls to pick #4 they could become the only NFC South team with a true young QBOTF.

It depends on how they view Ryan but remember Ryan's best year's were in the Shanahan offense, the same one that Smith is largely running.

NFLN Tom Pelissero on GMFB just gave an update on Arthur Smith he is meeting again with Jets ownership this morning at the Jets facility, then he will jump on a private jet organized by the Eagles to head to Palm Beach to meet with the Eagles later today.

According to Pelissero Smith intends to follow through with all his scheduled interviews and will still meet with the Lions tomorrow, sounded like Smith is going to have his choice of multiple jobs by the end of his tour of interviews.

He’ll go to the Falcons.

Eagles fan base and media are brutal...and why would anyone want to deal with the Jets or Lions franchise?

Agreed. Matt Ryan might retire in the next year or two too, so he may get to pick his guy if he lasts long enough.

Falcons make a lot of sense. Like Buds said, NFC South about to be free for all. Blank is a good owner who doesn’t get involved. He’ll get a lot of rope. Ryan still can play and maybe they get a new QB to groom this draft.
