spinne1
The ESPN Playoff Machine is super fun to play around with. Basically, you put what you think will happen in each game, and it will show you who is in the playoffs. I played around with it for quite a while. I put in first what I thought would happen in each game, then what might happen, then started running scenarios for the Titans to both make and miss the playoffs. The scary thing is that there are SEVERAL scenarios where the Titans end up 10-6 and miss the playoffs. I even found one where they go 11-5 and miss the playoffs. I also found some where Baltimore, Cleveland, and/or Indianapolis each miss the playoffs at 11-5 (some with two missing at 11-5). Lastly, just for kicks I ran scenarios to see how the Chiefs miss the playoffs altogether. I finally found one! (There could be several, but hey, it took a while to get this one.) The point is that for the Titans to be sure of a playoff berth, they need to go 12-4, or 4-1 down the stretch. Cleveland is a BIG game especially with Green Bay on the road. http://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine
Oiler FANatic
Cleveland 12-4? What kind of crap is that? They're already the worst 8-3 team in the entire 100-year history of the NFL. They beat the Jags by 2, Philly by 5, Houston by 3, and the Bungles by 3. I see them going 10-6, maybe 11-5 if they're insanely lucky. The only two easy games left for them are at both NY teams. I don't give them much of a chance this week in Nashville, I doubt it will be close. They play the Ravens, who already beat them 38-6, and their last game is against the Steelers, who already beat them 38-7. They're 1 and done.

The attached pictures were just 1) A possible scenario where Kansas City misses the playoffs, and 2) A possible scenario where Tennessee goes 11-5 and misses the playoffs. They were in no way a prediction of Cleveland going 12-4! My true educated guesses resulted in a very different final picture. It is way too early with too many games left to get any meaningful data other than to know what is or isn’t possible. With about two weeks left is where this playoff predictor starts to come into play for real.
jphardy
Just picking quickly on instinct, and assuming PIT won't go undefeated (I gave BUF the win, which gave them a better seed than us).

Hopefully the Titans learned their lesson vs the Bengals. I said after that game I won't feel comfortable playing any team this year lol. However, if we win like we should I honestly would bet money the Browns actually don't make the playoffs. They basically had 3 straight weeks of weather games that benefited their play style. Either super windy and rainy. Elements is part of the game, but they been real fortunate. I just don't see them winning much once teams realize Baker Mayfield is no threat throwing the ball.
