Popular Post Come on Titans
He looked like he played very well today in his first NFL start at 30 yrs old. (quality snaps last week) The dude missed the better part of 3 seasons battling cancer (Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) https://www.espn.com/blog/tennessee-titans/post/_/id/28759/david-quessenberry-overcame-cancer-but-his-nfl-fight-isnt-over PRO: The Titans signed offensive lineman David Quessenberry to the practice squad during Week 2 of the 2018 season. The 6-foot-5-inch, 305-pounder was originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the sixth round (176th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve, and spent the 2014-16 seasons on reserve/non-football illness list after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in June 2014. He was medically cleared and returned to action in 2017 as a member of the Texans practice squad. He was signed to the active roster on Dec. 19, 2017 and appeared in two contests for Houston. Quessenberry spent majority of the 2018 season on the Titans' practice squad, and in 2019 he spent time on the team's active roster and practice squad. The La Jolla, Calif., native appeared in a career-high four games in 2019 and caught his first career touchdown. ref: https://www.tennesseetitans.com/team/players-roster/david-quessenberry/ titansjr9988, JoelinBellevue, GLinks, and 7 others 9

tgo
Quessenberry played well in his role but they did a lot to mitigate any weaknesses on his side. I’m guessing Jonnu/Swaim will be the third OT working over there to help him on Myles Garrett this week. Come on Titans
ctm
Quessenberry is also under a very cheap contract for 2021.
Come on Titans
....from that espn article: Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is another person whom Quessenberry became close with during his cancer battle. Vrabel was linebackers coach and defensive coordinator for the Texans while Quessenberry was there. Vrabel respected how Quessenberry did whatever he could to help the team while he was sick and also took time to help the coach's son Tyler, who is now a starting left tackle at Boston College. "He was acting as basically a coach and was being held accountable to the O-line coach,” Vrabel said. “He helped with the young guys, he helped with meetings. In the time, Tyler would be around lifting and talked to him about a position change. It was something that Quess took really seriously and came to him very easy to be able to help and coach. Tyler just took in everything that he was teaching and coaching.” tgo, and chef

He is considered a top key piece like Tannehill, AJ Brown, Derrick Henry, Kevin Byard...But I feel out of all those players we can still keep stride without him the most. Said it a few weeks ago. And atleast we dont have to worry about penalties, although he has gotten better at that.

Lewan isn't his prime form since, maybe since his PED bout, but he is still an very good player.

I'm sure qbs are staying away from him. I'd rather worry about replacing Lewan than Byard in our secondary. Or I should say I'm more comfortable as a fan missin Lewan than If we were missing Byard. I mean have we looked any worse on the line without Lewan? Anytime he has been missing you never really see a huge drop off.
