Popular Post code
Every single move he has made this offseason on defense has backfired. Allowed Logan Ryan to walk and replaced him with Jonathon Joseph. Massive fail. Cut Jurrell Casey. Replaced him with either Beasley or Clowney. Epic fail. Wasted a draft pick on Isaiah Wilson reaching for a guy who may never contribute. Epic fail. Far too early to call Kristian Fulton a miss ... but injuries have wiped out his first season. And while it was the 'right' thing to do, the extension for Jackson has bought us 0 games to date. I could probably swallow much of this ... but the Wilson pick smelled on draft day and continues to smell today. Until the Titans get an edge rush -- and find a replacement for Joseph outside -- we will disappoint. Oh, I missed the whiff on the placekicker. Cost us last week's game. Cost us a chance to contend in this week's game. For this week, I am taking a pass on riding the JROB bus. (and Vrabel gets no pass for not replacing Dean Peas - I love HC - but Peas is sorely missed). BaddKarma, oldschool, Flarb, and 2 others 4
Popular Post OILERMAN
Losing Ryan and Casey have nothing to do with the problems, Jackson being given the 5th year option was a no brainer ChemEngr79, Thrill, titanfan24, and 11 others

Popular Post rns90
If you want to argue the Casey thing, it's signing Beasley that was the failure not Clowney. Thrill, flaming_thumbtack, Justafan, and 3 others 5
BaddKarma
Agree 100% Personnel is shit, especially the D... Jrob and Vrabel not going and getting a real DC has put this team in a spot where they have to score 30+ to win. Not a great recipe for a run first team. GM and coach have misfired badly... Popular Post tgo
The mistake Robinson made was not investing in a better vet corner than Joseph. And signing Beasley over better options. But there are defensive schematic issues going on here beyond personnel. Yes, the secondary personnel is a limiting factor, but we have more problems than just personnel. NFLStudent
I'm not playing J-Rob on Clowney nor Beasley. Beasley had 42 tackles and 8 sacks, LAST YEAR. He's 28 years old. No question he hasn't produced this year, but the logic for signing him isn't bad.
Jonboy
The Beasley signing was downright awful. I have to wonder if Vrabel or someone inside the building pushed hard for that one because he just isn't a JRob guy at all. I remember how shocked Turron Davenport was with that signing because he'd heard about Beasley's demeanor and didn't think he was a fit at all. The Ryan stuff is ridiculous, he wanted 10 mill a year and sucks too They could have gotten a better CB over Joseph JT2000, Titanstattoo25, Thrill, and 4 others
Rogue
I think the biggest single issue is not hiring a legitimate DC. Either someone from above steps in and forces something or we lose at least one more game coming up, but will probably take more for Vrabel to resonsider. Pees was a wizard in how he used him and hid him last year - he lost what speed he had after the major leg injury. Which is why they used him like a linebacker half the time. But yeah, there were a myriad of better options than Jonathan Joseph. Especially pure outside guys which is how Joseph is used. BaddKarma
Titans could 0-4 in their next four with this defense. 5-6 would suck...
Stranger
Joseph was atrocious today and shouldn't be on the roster. The defense as a whole is talented but they did not bring their A game today. Officiating was questionable at times. Bengals were better today despite everything else. NashvilleNinja
Anybody think Kerry Coombs leaving had much impact on top of the shifted and shitty personnel? The defensive problems are only getting worse. There's going to be a ton of work to do after the season to fix that shit. And with a lowerin cap it's going to make things that much harder.
