[GMFB] Do the Oilers/Titans have the best RB foursome in NFL history?

Recommended Posts

Pittsburgh, Dallas and Chicago have to be up there but they're definitely top 5, no doubt.

Ehhh Eddie brings down the average quite a bit. I was looking at some of the other franchises top 4 leading rushers and there's always a last one that's sorta a WTF pick. For us it's Eddie

Even if you just go with trio, I think we are up there but the fact that I think Eddie is our 4th easily puts us over the edge for best foursome.

That was a good piece of work there by Schrager.  Well put together.  A few other teams had 3 great guys, but I'd agree with Kyle in saying only the Cowboys, with Dorsett, Smith, Walker and Elliot come close to having the best 4.  Still give the Titans the edge though, of course!

Yeah Elliot has fallen off a cliff. Fumbles, lack of production etc. Cowboys are closest though.

This always happens to players when I draft them.

One year, I had 4 QBs go down with season ending injuries in a 2 QB league.

I tried to but could only get the defense and kicker. Go figure.

The funny part is that I dropped Gostkowski after game 1. He comes in game 2 and starts slamming 3's. I picked him up for our last game. Looked like a joke. Defense got me negative points last week. So I've now dropped both of them.

Expect a huge game from the D and K.

It's definitely a conversation to be had. Eddie didn't really have the deep speed and he was such a focal point of the offense that they'd just run him into 8-9 man fronts all day which killed his average. CJ didn't have the longevity and Henry has only started to come on this past year or so... but the Titans are definitely in the conversation and I'd say the favorites... but I'm heavily bias.

Just to remind people.. Eddie's carry total for his career as a Titan/Oiler:

1996 335

1997 357

1998 348

1999 320

2000 403

2001 315

2002 343

2003 312

And he never missed a game as a Titan iirc.

I think it's us but one team that low key could've been second is actually the Rams... Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk, Steven Jackson, and if Todd Gurley had stayed healthy. That's a pretty solid group right there.  Everyone seems to have forgotten about Steven Jackson but he had 1,000+ yards for an incredible 8 straight seasons. Not too shabby.

As much as I agree with the list and had/having so much fun watching them all play...

It is all kind of empty without a single Lombardi.

Henry has the chance to be the real King if the team finally brings one home.
