I wonder if the lack of in-person visits hampered their ability to really get to know him?

AtoZ and Reising are a bunch of amateurs masquerading as journalists.

Honestly I'd just admit my mistake and cut the guy. He can't even make the practice field. 1st round or not, the kid can't make a good decision to save his life.

They aren’t cutting their first round pick this early just because he’s lazy and immature. They could have just as easily have cut Haynesworth for the same reason as a rookie.

Of course they shouldn’t...

Why shouldn't they? Because he might turn it around? He'd be fired multiple times in the real world. He's a lazy privileged slob. Odds of him getting it are slim and none. You don't just gain work ethic, especially not at that age. They won't cut him, but they should. Logic tells you he's not going to work out.

For the same reason they drafted him. He is extremely talented. Also because they invested a lot in him already.

Yeah, he is young and immature. Some players grow out of that simply because millions of dollars are on the line. And if he doesn’t they will waive him later.

It's not like waiving him means they would be able to add some new great player. They would be adding a practice squad OT or some veteran who couldn’t get a contract from anyone else.

Should the Titans have waived Haynesworth as a rookie? He was also lazy and immature back then and didn’t really contribute much for a few years.

Anyone seen any teammates disputing this report or publicly defending Wilson, for a team that has plenty of players active on social media who aren't afraid to voice their opinion it would be pretty damning of Wilson for none of them to publicly support him right now.

Ultimately it doesn't matter what fans and the media think of Wilson its whether the players/coaches trust him or not.

Most damning part to me about Wilson right now is the fact that none of his teammates have spoken out to defend him. But in ways it’s a positive overall, they are busy handling business and don’t have time for his continued BS

Exactly.  The two Lewan work place harassment videos showing him aslseep at work did that.  Not to mention when a guy's own twitter handle is LayZay........

Yep.  And pandas aren't exactly known to be high energy either.

I doubt he's REALLY lazy.  Still way more likely a mental issue, probably exacerbated by the usual stressors of being a very young 1st round pick with lots of fame and money thrown out you, some peer/family pressure and now more limited contact for support due to coronavirus issues.  Like @Justafansaid, what has already come out in the news makes this stick easier.

However would not be shocked to find out someone in the organization back doored this for a local buzz story to ty to light a fire under him.  No matter how valid any unknown reasons for his lack of performance as well as decision making thus far, you know the team has to be seriously disappointed in the results so far.

Guys can learn work ethic even in the real world of your job.  Not saying that Wilson is going to turn it around, but we have too much invested in him to get rid of him now.  Not like he's been beating up women or shooting at people.

Agreed about the backdooring, but have a hard time believing they would use Reising's crew after Vrabel got so pissed at him recently.

This was just those amateur's trying to break a story where everyone following already knows it - he's immature, lazy, and has been useless to this point.  I mean, he's barely practiced let alone come close to actually playing in a game.

Herndon needs to run away from those guys.
