Amazing how the tone of reporting surrounding the investigation shifted as more and more teams started to have positive tests, the moment Newton/Gilmore both tested positive it felt like the NFL stopp

Personally, given all the breeches in protocols and the unauthorized meetings of the players leading to rescheduling, I think the Titans should face more than fines.

The Titans really screwed up the schedules of a bunch of teams due to their carelessness.  In the end, it is what it is.  And, if I were a Titan fan, I would be excited that it didn't lead to picks lost or suspensions.

I think the league made an error here.  There is no teeth in enforcing the rules now.  What happens when the bad teams quit caring about the season?

Well well well......

Fucking Vrabel ripping masks right off people’s faces coming into the facility!

This is by far the worst penalty ever given to a team in NFL history.

You mean they’re not losing every draft pick for the next 10 years, making AAS sell the team and forcing a move?

What a complete joke this was.  I think the league owes the franchise a public apology for what they put them through.

I don't think it was the league.  It was other teams GMs and owners (Jones) that pushed the historic punishment angle out to the media.

I'm looking forward to seeing whether unnamed sources and media personalities still bang the table for punishment. More likely, this fades away.

I still feel the Titans/NFL should be required to work with middle TN on COVID-19 response after their organization acted as a potential super spreader. Like, if testing resources are adequate, then donate a large sum of money to music venues that are suffering. When a team is fined, what does the NFL do with the money?

When i was on the committee, i suggested all fines be split amongst myself and a few other members. I started a program to use that money towards the care of wildlife on my ranch

You have absolutely no idea who was at fault and whether they really did anything wrong and whether this could have been prevented.  Maybe had the league not allowed them to travel to Minnesota (out of the Titans hands) or not allowed someone in the building after 3 days of negative tests (also out of the Titans hands) this wouldn’t have happened?

Exactly what do you think were "all the breeches" and "carelessness" were? Do you have special information the rest of us don't?

All teams I have observed have had breeches of not wearing masks properly. The league apparently is acknowledging that the unauthorized meetings were held without those involved knowing they were unauthorized.

The NFL had the team fly together after a positive staff test result.

I get you're unhappy because your team had a reschedule but just because it happened doesn't mean the Titans were to "blame". Based on what we know this could have happened to any team... Especially if they all fly together.
