Corey Davis Plus Another Titan Test Positive, Bills Game In Jeopardy

Recommended Posts

If you set the precedent then thr rule effectively becomes two consecutive weeks of outbreaks results in forfeiture of the following game. Kinda hard to do when the incubation/quaratine period is 14 days.

Welp...this can't be good.

None of this is good.  It always seems worse when it's happening but this is really, really bad.

This is one of the few times I think the panic is actually justified. There are so many awful scenarios that could come from all this.

Well I tend to always jump to worst case scenario in general.  It could end up being nothing, they could test negative for the next few days and be back.  But it just feels really bad right now.

What is the worst case scenario that comes out of all this?  First round draft pick?  Suspensions?  Forfeit?  A combination?  Guys get sick and don't get better?  A cycle of this continuing and the Titans just not finishing the season?  I mean there's a lot of bad that can come from this.  I'm having a tough time finding the good that can come from this, however.

We all signed up for this when we decided to become fans of a franchise and devote time to talking about them and thinking about them during non game times, which the majority of us do a lot.  It just sucks that it happened to the team we root for.  It could've been any team.

The Titans won't be the only team this happens to. We're already seeing multiple infections on other teams. The NFL can't continue moving schedule around all season to handle this.

They should have built in multiple bye weeks and shortened the number of games played per team. Still have football every sunday, more teams get primetime games, but with 3-4 bye weeks built in to account for schedule changes.

What the hell happens when it's January and we're down to the wire for playoffs? We've only had 4 weeks so far.

A small bit of good news?

Of course not.

Could you imagine the lawsuit???

What if other teams get it and then arent forced to forfeit?

Youd HAVE to force everyone to forfeit because there is a 2 week incubation time.

The NFL is scared. I wish PFT would chime in more here.

Just seems ridiculous to make up a rule like that after the fact

That's the problem with bringing the hammer down now. Specific penalties for specific protocol violations should have been spelled out from the beginning. Do we penalize based on the actual violations or do we penalized based on the size of the outbreak? It seems like it's leaning toward the latter.

It's mind boggling for a league that's so particular about micromanaging every minute detail, they went into this season so unprepared for a scenario that was obviously inevitable for anyone with half a brain.

Don't tell me we have to wait until tomorrow for the other one...

Maybe the other one is getting suspended and can't be on both lists at once! 😛
