kyle021
I wasn’t quite sure where to rank him after last year. Was he having a year or stretch similar to the stretch MM had in 2016 or was this really the guy we were getting for the next 4+ years? he laid to rest any doubts after the first two weeks. This guys play is up there with the best in the game. I currently have him ranked after Mahomes, Wilson, Rogers as the #4 best QB in the league. it’s nice to finally have a premier QB Oiler FANatic

scine09
This seems like a homeristic take. He's played great and the numbers back that up. But how long do you have to do it to be ahead of people who do this on a year in and year out basis? Stan
We don’t win these two games with Mariota. Right now we’d be 0-2. Mariota doesn’t make these tight window throws like tanman ChemEngr79, IsntLifeFunny, TeamBass, and 1 other

There's no way that first (I think it was) TD pass to Smith happens. RT knew he had the rusher bearing down on him and waited for Smith to be open enough to launch it. Didn't rush it and threw it to the perfect spot. atitan, and rns90

nine
We can certainly debate where Tannehill ranks alongside other top QBs. What isn’t subject to debate is the team’s 2-0 start to the season or Tannehill’s 6-0 TD/INT ratio. He’s playing lights out. That right there earns the respect of the players around him. Players see there QB put himself on the line like that, they'll work just as hard doing the same. Mythos27
He's a top 5 QB right now by any metric you want to use except for reputation and name recognition. Can that change? Sure. But until further notice, he's top 5. pat
TitansFan23
His former eyes wide open coach Gase did him no favors in Miami and is currently setting up Darnold for failure in NY. ”In the second quarter of Sunday’s loss to the 49ers, the Jets went for it on fourth-and-1 at San Francisco’s 20-yard line. Although the 49ers’ defensive line left a gap between the center and left guard where quarterback Sam Darnold appeared to have space to take the snap and sneak forward for a first down, Darnold instead handed off to running back Josh Adams, who was stopped for no gain. So why didn’t Darnold just take what the defense was giving him? He and head coach Adam Gase both said that when Gase made the play call, Darnold didn’t have the authority to audible out of it.” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/09/21/adam-gase-wouldnt-let-sam-darnold-audible-on-fourth-and-1/ Gase’s claim to fame is coaching an already HOF QB in Peyton Manning who probably didn’t give a shit what Gase thought in Denver.
