socaltitan Posted December 1, 2020 Report Share Posted December 1, 2020 (edited) Roseman's personnel decisions have hurt the team a lot. I also think Wentz and Pederson's ego have as well. People forget in the hoopla of Wentz's 2017 that the Eagles were the #1 rushing team in football. They miss Blount. They dominated teams in the trenches like we did against IND all season. Wentz and Pederson need to remove their egos and I think they got to get back to recommitting to running the ball if they want to save their jobs. Wentz needs to stop trying to be a poor man's Brett Favre and play more in rhythm and Pederson needs to stop thinking he's too smart for everything. If they try to do the same thing next year, barring a major turnaround, it'll probably be a similar result and they'll all get fired. The division is terrible, but you figure NYG, WAS, and DAL are probably not going to be any worse then they are now. WAS and NYG especially could be better next season. They're showing signs of improvement. It's a crime they only gave Miles Sanders 6 carries last night. It was a relatively close game for the most part and he came in averaging 5.7 YPC. I agree these are the concerning plays. but to comment on your sarcastic comments there were also tons of plays where receivers couldn't get open, receivers/wentz not on the same page, missed blitz pick ups, etc. The Eagles offense is broken. You can put as much blame on Wentz as you want but the reality of it is he is not the sole reason the Eagles offense is a disaster. There were also terrible coaching decisions last night too so if you think Pederson shouldn't be on the hot seat you are crazy. People forget that before Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid was known as a horrible game manager who would inevitably blow the game come January. His biggest problem was abandoning the run even when it worked. The best thing the Eagles could do for Wentz is get more balanced but at the same time Wentz is routinely making bad reads/decisions and has wildly inconsistent ball placement accuracy.
