Tannehill statistically the best Titans QB over a 15 game span?

Recommended Posts

Major caveat is obviously the stat inflation we've seen since McNair was a QB. Back then overage was probably around an 83 passer rating and now around 100 is, for example.

Also this is comparing his 15 games to their full seasons.

Still, no question that he is the second best QB in Titans history (technically since they moved to Tennessee) IMO.

You have to adjust for the stat inflation though. They are the best stats, but that's largely because all passers have better stats than in the past often due to rule changes (and evolution of the game)

I agree Moon and McNair played in different eras but Tannehill is playing fantastic.

By the way, did you know Mariota is on Injured Reserve?

Raiders placed QB Marcus Mariota (pec) on injured reserve.

His ongoing pectoral strain is reportedly what caused his underwhelming performance in camp. Nathan Peterman, a Jon Gruden favorite, will be promoted to No. 2. Although the Raiders open with an enticing matchup in Carolina in Week 1, it would have been helpful to have a viable backup when entering the unfavorable portion of their schedule over the next eight games.

It's still sort of amazing to me how the Titans finally managed to find good to great QB play and still won't likely sniff a 4000 yard passer due to system etc.

It's trivial I know but just funny how some things stay the same.

We still need an at least adequate defense and right now it’s horrible. Really wish we had Pees still.

It's been two games. If we're still like this midseason I'll be concerned.
