It will be interesting to see what cases come to the supreme court now that interested parties wouldn't pursue before because they knew they couldn't get the outcome they wanted. This will definitely change political dynamics for a generation or more. the ACA is dead as early as the October session and Roe v Wade will follow in 2021. Stop focusing on the hypocrisy of McConnell and the GOP. Stop appealing to McConnell, Graham, and Cruze to honor their words and to uphold the principles they claim to govern by. You were outplayed 4 years ago, the voters gave us Trump, and you are about to be outplayed again; Start fighting back. The America you are appealing to doesn't exist anymore. The GOP has defined the Liberals as anti-business, baby killing, socialist anarchists and all you respond with is trying to appeal to logic and principle? Fucking idiots. There are enough Republicans on record as being against this that making the public argument still makes sense... There's really no other choice.... Unless murkowski, Romney, and 1-2 others vote against it ....nothing can stop them.

They should be engaging with Collins, Murkowski, Romney, and a few others behind closed doors while making it known publicly there will be repercussions if the GOP goes down this road. Appealing to principle is a non starter. Honestly I don't think anything can stop McConnell. He knows he's on borrowed time with American demographics and the best way to delay it from happening is to stack the courts. It's his endgame and he's close to achieving it. They need 2 more. I think Romney joins them so that leaves one of the vulnerable senators. I also think McConneel cares more about pushing this appointment through than he does winning the presidential election or keeping the senate. Pushing it through means a huge conservative slant on the court for decades or generations. He'll gladly give up the short term gains that come with this election cycle if it means cementing control of the Judiciary long term.
