I read a few months ago that historically, Supreme Court justices were announced in the morning and approved that afternoon. 

 

People figured that until a new senate was started, and Democrats took control, or if not control, then the day Biden took the office, if he won, were the only safe dates.    

There is low chance that President Trump will NOT get a replacement.

The justice dictated a statement to her granddaughter in the days before her death, NPR reported. Ginsburg said: “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”.  Her last wish dictated to her granddaughter
