What we're missing is a WR who can take the top off the defense in play action. Kalif Raymond is the only one who can do that, but he's inconsistent and can't do much else effectively so it takes the element of surprise out of it somewhat when he's on the field on offense.

OBJ can definitely do this, but the guy just doesn't have the makeup of a Titan football player in so many different ways and is a selfish player.

Will Fuller type WR is what we really need, minus the injuries of course.

Raymond is JAG.  It shouldn't be that hard to acquire a speed WR that can tilt the field via trade.

Do we need to pay a premium for that guy though.  I don't think either of these guys are on our radar.  Now if one of the 3 I mentioned went down for the year, then all bets are off.

Yeah, but it would be nice to have a do-it-all WR instead. Short of that, a Will Fuller type will do.

I don't think we'll pay a premium for it no. Just fun to talk about theoretically.

I think they're doing some roster manipulation maybe since McNichols can only be called up from the PS twice, or related to Isaiah Wilson needing to be around the team, or bringing Batson up for a specific role after Raymond looked poor, something along those lines if I had to guess.

I do think the one thing we didn't accomplish this offseason is getting a receiver to take the top off, and I talked about this ad nauseum all offseason, but it's really the only thing missing from this team imo, assuming Adoree's injury is short term.

I've been saying they need that guy to take the top off since the Mularkey days.  Evidently he's harder to find than we think as Robinson probably looking for a track guy who can also catch.

I think in this hypothetical Robinson makes Davis expendable. I’ve been assuming he’d be part of the trade due to that.

Of course this is all just speculation for entertainment purposes.
