If he doesn't opt out, he should be traded for a 5th to a team who loses an edge in camp and desperately needs an edge rusher.

And Robinson should receive coal in his stocking this year for this dumb signing

It was fine as a signing and this will be a non-issue in the long run.

No team would be dumb enough to trade anything for Beasley.

For what? He hasn't been good in around 3 years is it?

Teams weren't lining up to sign him when he was a free agent last offseason.

What team wouldn’t want to trade for a good pass rusher that only costs them $1.5M?

Hasn't exactly proven himself as trustworthy/reliable why are teams lining up to give away draft capital for a guy like that.

Now the transaction wire is out for today it is officially 5 days unexcused absence for Beasley with tomorrow basically the point of no return for him where the financial penalties really start to ramp up.

Not Titan material, never was. I don’t care how many sacks he gets either.

I agree with you. I liked him as a scheme fit but he has shown nothing but giving no shits since we got him. Jrob tends to be good at finding people who are all in but this is starting to look like dodd 2.0 and I hope I am wrong.

He certainly is a pass rush specialist and not nearly as good against the run, but I don’t see that as a negative. But I’ve seen some good clips of him in the run game as a penetrator chasing things down. Just not going head on vs an OLineman.

And Atlanta not wanting him isn’t really a shock because they expected he was going to sign an expensive long term deal. Certainly if they had ever considered signing him then his agent had only offered them an expensive long term deal. they wouldn’t have been talking a 1-year contract.

As for flakey, that’s iffy. I want to see him play myself. He certainly didn’t have overwhelming success in recent years. But I wonder how much of that was the fact that Atlanta played him as an edge rusher during his most successful years and then moved him to OLB. If the

Titans plan to use him primarily as a pass rusher and less as an early down OLB then I think you will see a lot better results.
