It is unacceptable to have as your backup someone as inexperienced as Logan particularly in a year when a quarantine is possible. Additionally, we have a contending team. To have to use our present backup gives us a huge disadvantage. Look, this guy is liked in the organization but one needs some freaking experience at that position. I think Brown is our highest priority signing. Please let us sign any linebacker with the last name Johnson.....I'd love a linebacker combo of Long, Brown, Johnson. Bulluck4dmvp
Are there any remotely qualified backup QB’s on the market at this point?
AussieTitanFan08
Seems Kristian Fulton is really starting to settle nicely into that slot/nickel CB role, in the limited footage shown of team drills it is Fulton running with the first team defense ahead of Johnathan Joseph. No idea if Fulton actually starts in Denver week 1 but seeing Joseph continually being roasted by speed receivers early in training camp doesn't instill much confidence he has anything left in the tank. Reading practice reports over recent days there has been universal praise for Adoree looks like he has picked up from where he was at the end of last season, if he avoids those foot/ankle problems he has had in his first 3yrs he could push to be a top 10-12 CB in the NFL this season. It’s not exactly a long and exemplary list, but yes. Jake Jortles is the obvious top of the list. After that, Trevor Siemian is probably 2nd. Maybe Josh McCown. Sam Bradford? They essentially think Joseph is a better zone corner than Sims. Once Butler went out we went heavy zone against spread formations. The same will happen if Joseph is inserted into the lineup because of injuries. He has no shot to start.

Well if they are in the dime then zones will be more common anyway. Hopefully he won’t be in the game outside of those circumstances.

As for Bradford, he would come in for a half complete 90% of his passes for two yards a pop and then rupture his spleen.

If Tannehill went down, there is no FA available that would fill that gap. They want to develop Woodside. If Tanny goes down for more than a game or two, they would just sign someone off the street who would equal the value of whoever they could keep on the team now. I think there's a comfort level with a veteran QB (i.e. KFC, NOD, Hasselbeck, etc) because you have a baseline idea of what the guy can do. You've seen the guy play before. I have no idea what Woodside is. Is he Volek? Or is he Rusty Smith, Luke Falk, etc? I wish we would've signed Keenum. Even a guy like Matt Moore would've been ok to me. It is concerning because Tannehill does have an injury history and we got so close to the SB last year. If Tannehill misses 3-4 games, I can't say I have a huge confidence level in Woodside right now. Edited August 19, 2020 by socaltitan
Titans279
Dalton would have been best. Did he sign for peanuts to try to Tannehill Dak?
