Cam Newton is a Patriot

Just finished listening to a discussion about AFC rankings heading into the season which evolved into the question what is more likely that Tannehill has a massive regression in 2020 or Newton regains superstar status at the Patriots, no surprise the talking heads all jumped on Newton becoming a superstar again.

Obviously there will be some regression with Tannehill, but with the amount of talent surrounding him (especially Henry) it won't be massive by any means.

As far as Cam becoming a superstar again, that's just plain ridiculous. The better question would be between him and Rivers, which is more bound to fail.

We're running out of veteran backups to sign. I think going with Woodside will be a mistake when someone like Dalton signed for peanuts. I'm honestly all for Bortles at this point. Siemian could work too.

Agree with this a 100%. I’m not clamoring for a big name backup but Jesus, we have a ton of cap space , we couldn’t sign a reasonable backup. If RT gets hurt for 4-6 weeks  it could be curtains.

Frankly I think we could use some more depth elsewhere as well.

I think he’ll do pretty well. They’ll reconstruct the offense to be more downfield passing and try and get that running game going. If I’m then I go after Freeman.

Tom Brady really limited what they could do last season. He was throwing behind the LOS or 5 yards all game long (though this may have been because their speedy WR got hurt and Antonio Brown got cut).

Cam won’t be able to help the Oline and coaching staff as much as Brady but I think he offers more in the running game and potentially passing if his shoulder is close to 100%.

They have no outside threats. Two slow WR who can’t separate. Edelman a good WR but a slot guy. Not a deep threat. BB might be playing a lot of Fisherball next season.

What star QB has a name like Stidham?

In this week's episode of The Twilight Zone, we explore the lives of 2 star crossed, similarly named athletes.

Jarrett Stidham 440px-Tom_Brady_and_Jarrett_Stidham_(cro

and Jason Statham. MV5BMTkxMzk2MDkwOV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMDAx  Could these two reverse roles and take on the other's job?

Could Jason Statham, who was once on the British Diving Team and finished 12th in the 1992 World Championships, be capable of playing QB better than Jarrett Stidham?  Could Jarrett Stidham, a QB on the Patriots, act well enough to make an action movie, like Jason Statham has done a few times. (The Transporter, The Mechanic, Fate of the Furious) - and many more?  Rod Sterling himself would go crazy trying to figure this one out!
