SleepingTitan
I'll say it again: Corey Davis should convert to TE. He will never be a great WR, but he has the potential to be one of the best TE's in the league. He worked from the slot A LOT in college.

OilerTitanHybrid
That blocking bastard needs to start a whole new position, known as TE LE (Light End)! TheCDavis84, Light End of the Titans! Thrill
He's fine where he is. We can still feature him as a blocker without arbitrarily shifting him to another position. Also he's already made it as a WR. How many WRs have made it to the NFL and never sniffed 900 receiving yards? He's still a very good receiver. This is a stupid thread. titanruss
CDs problems are all mental. He's got the physical traits and can make great catches. But he's never on the same page with the QBs.

But he's never on the same page with the QBs. BS. He's only had 9 games with a good QB in his whole career and he had turf toe during most of that time. The only person who ever had better numbers with Mariota throwing to them was Delanie in 2015. Mathews had about an equivalent year in 2016 to Davis's 2018 (and this is when Mariota couldn't throw because of the nerve injury). AJ Brown doesn't get 1000 yards last year with Mariota throwing to him. Edited May 21, 2020 by Thrill

He had the EXACT same issues with RT that he had with MM. we aren’t talking about AJ... who didn’t have issues transitioning QBs. He had fucking turf toe, and still did well. He also put up 900 yards when Mariota was barely putting up 200 passing yards per game. edit: I get criticisms from an injury perspective but it's not like he's chop liver out there. He wasn't worth a top 5 pick but few WR's are. He's valuable and the idea that he sucks and needs to be traded or converted to TE is laughable. I bet he has 1000 yards this year if he's healthy. Tannehill has come out and said that getting tons of reps with AJ Brown during training camp helped them build a chemistry he never got to build with CD. Let's see what it looks like this season. Obviously Derrick Henry benefits greatly from his outside blocking. AJ Brown is a stout physical also. Believe it or not this team actually is built much like the Jeff Fisher teams. Big physical wideouts with an emphasis on running. We just happen to have a GM who recognizes talent so we're not old and talentless like those Jeff Fisher teams lol. Those fisher teams were held back by our favorite all-time titans players. EG should have been gone after 2001, wycheck too. Also, poor drafting and FA at WR kept the offenses from being what it could be. Forcing that window to stay open was a bad idea. Fisher is as much to blame as the GM - because well, he basically was the GM for a while and he got to keep the guys he liked even when he didnt have all the power.
