Is the roster better or worse than last season?

Recommended Posts

HAROLD LANDRY, OLB, TENNESSEE TITANS

Can a player who, in just their second season, led the Titans in sacks (nine) really be primed to take it to another level?

For Harold Landry, absolutely.

To go along with his nine sacks, Landry racked up 81 tackles, 28 pressures, 12 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and one forced a fumble and interception apiece. But there's a chance 2020 could be even better.

For starters, Landry did all that while not recording a single sack in the final four games of the season; something that likely wouldn't happen again, given how good he is. Second, over his first two seasons, he's been able to learn behind the likes of Brian Orakpo and Cameron Wake. With both of them now gone, it is Landry's show to display what he learned from those guys with a twist of his own abilities.

Finally, the addition of Vic Beasley should help on the other edge, and the growth of interior defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons should help even more. Imagine if they also could add Jadeveon Clowney.

If you ask me, Landry's first double-digit sacks season and first Pro Bowl are on deck.

The roster is probably better. The real question is whether or not teams will adjust and find ways to defend what the Titans did to win last year even if it's finding nuances in blocking schemes or specific players blocking techniques to stop the run better.

Pretty sure defenses will try to take away Henry and Brown , so Tanne is going to be forced to make plays to Smith and Davis and Humphries.. OC Smith will have to be ready for that

Looks like Simmons has been putting in the work during the offseason, he mentioned in a recent zoom conference call that he had dropped a fair bit of weight and you can see it in this picture, if he has regained his full mobility that he had pre ACL injury he is going to be an absolute nightmare to deal with this season.

Jesus. He’s going to hurt some people out there. I still have no idea how he fell so far. He could easily end up the best player of the draft if he stays healthy and keeps developing.

His potential is off the charts.  He is already really good.  I can't wait to see him develop.

Have you seen the arms on Roberson? He's a beast too. If he develops look out. What a shame this season is so fucked up. I think we are more loaded with talent than any roster in Titans history, considering the skill positions.

Totally agree.  I hope they find a way to play this season.  Potential is off the charts for this team.
