He is essentially daring them to fire him. If they do, he'll be subpoenaed by the House within a month's time publicly airing whatever his thoughts are regarding the status of his investigations and his opinion of the intent of his dismissal from Trump or Barr. Also, if Barr's been leaning on that office in an unprecedented way that will come out, too. Stay tuned indeed.
