Who's the NB? Kristian Fulton game footage

Recommended Posts

Fulton has some tight hips. PFF graded him 58 pts on flats. Clemson exposed his weaknesses in the game below. In a 2 year span, he's still graded by PFF as the highest graded CB in this class. I think he'll do better in our zone schemes, but he's never going to be a nickelback. So who will? Jrob mentioned on a call once that Butler may be willing and able to move in. Hooker doesn't have the speed. Fulton doesn't have the agility. Jackson tackles like a bitch.

I'm legit concerned. Can Chris Jackson develop? Chance in hell we sign Logan Ryan?

Fulton looks like a true X. I say we stick Adoree on the Z side. Adoree probably has to stick to anyone who runs a large route tree. Butler in the slot.

Thoughts?

Im still new into looking more thoroughly into our prospects but early on I think Fulton is an outside CB only just based on his movement skills when I watch him.

It's really concerning to me how he gets beat on inside moves and breaks. Receivers literally leave him sitting still. He's also not exactly the most willing or capable tackler (at least not in the games I've watched.) He slows up to avoid contact, doesn't wrap his guy, really doesn't even offer run support. When he does try to tackle, he almost looks clumsy. Def not a NB.

Yeah he's not the best tackler and he lets WRs release inside too easily which may be a scheme/coachimg thing. But hes got all the tools to be a really good outside cb. Id say Adoree will be our NB as of now

Butler is likely the slot most of the time, but depending on matchups I could see Fulton and Jackson slide in if we are playing teams with pure speed slot receivers and bigger outside guys (KC obviously).

I'm almost leaning toward bust now. I don't understand how Fulton got such a high PFF grade. When teams go after him, he gives up TD's and commits penalties.

Ok wow. Hes got some really good tools to be a good player. Didnt he miss two seasons from a suspension but played this one? Guy just needs some coaching

I hope you're right. I don't know what coaching can teach a receiver to break on the route if he doesn't have the agility to do it. This guy turns like an older Ford Explorer with the blow out Bridgestones.

FIrestone is Bridgestone. It's the same company.

You don't remember those Ford Explorers that were rolling over after blowouts?
