A good editorial advocating for Kamala from a civil rights aspect listing her many accomplishments in that area from Ben Crump, a leading civil rights attorney and head of the George Floyd legal team: https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/01/opinions/kamala-harris-joe-biden-vice-president-crump/index.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rss%2Fcnn_topstories+(RSS%3A+CNN+-+Top+Stories)

So why don’t you support Trump and Barr making a mockery of the justice system if you’re so willing to do it?

Dude its not about tolerance. If charges are legit they will get prosecuted on any counts of wrongdoing by DoJ independently.

It’s about whether we’re going to adhere to the Constitution and the spirit of American justice or if we’re going to be a banana Republic.

Frankly, if Biden and Harris as VP led investigations, I would never support them and if thats the new norm in this country, its not a country I want to live in. If you’re fine with authoritarianism and political investigations, you should be totally fine with Trump and his ilk.

Anyway, luckily Biden has pledged that he would not do this, and if Harris tried (she won’t), I’m confident he’d publicly ask her to resign from her elected position. I’m sure as a former AG and District Attorney she has strong opinions about governors or presidents encroaching on criminal justice matters and wouldn’t do that to someone else.

3k Americans died in 9/11.  That lead to the Patriot Act, the Department of Homeland Security, and with wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The followup for 156k Americans dying needs to be proportional.  It's not good enough to nail Trump for lying on his taxes.  The entire depth of his depravity needs to be told.  In public.  This is not how criminal prosecutions work.  There needs to be a Truth Commission.  America, right now, is a banana republic.

I want to see the receipts.

  • Did Trump really cancel plans for a nationwide test and tracing program because COVID-19 was only affecting blue states?
  • Is Trump cooking the books on the COVID-19 case rate in red states?
  • Who are all these paramilitary federal agents?
  • Has Blackwater been contracted to attack protesters?
  • Did Trump re-write the CDC guidelines for school re-openings?

Everyone needs to see -- in detail -- how these shallow and deadly decisions were made.

Accountability is not a making a mockery of the Justice system.  Exposing the facts creates "pressure" on people making those decisions.  That's good.  We need more of that.

And yes, I think that Kamala Harris with her experience would know the difference between evidence that needs to be kept secret to protect an ongoing investigation, and evidence that needs to be exposed in the public interest.

Yeah, again, it’s not about her being “too ambitious” anyway. All the women under consideration are ambitious obviously.

It’s about whether the VP selection will be checking Biden’s pulse every day and focusing on their own upcoming presidential run or whether they’ll be focused on governing and ensuring Biden’s success.

Kamala Harris is all about Kamala Harris. Everyone in CA knows that she’s like the Randy Moss of politics - a star, prolific, talented, selfish, ruthless, highly narcissistic.

Someone like Bass OTOH is more like Da’Quan Jones (if he was a communist scientologist). Team first guy, does all the dirty work behind the scenes and does the heavy lifting so other guys can make plays, just wants the team to succeed.

And like I also said, Harris is the better and less risky choice electorally. She’d also make a better commander in chief and would be more authoritative as president in the event Biden keels over.  Also aligns more with Biden ideologically.

And yeah, I thought the way Harris and Gillibrand went after Biden showed low moral character, bad judgement and was cheap. Swalwell and Castro and Booker too. But water under the bridge.

The way Warren and Bernie attacked him was equitable and substantive.

Someone better be checking Biden’s pulse every day, it’s about to stop

Willing to bet on him dying or becoming incapacitated while in office?

Do you believe that if a man did the things Harris did that no one would be turned off by her behavior? Because it's not like Rice, Bass, or Warren are talked about as too ambitious.

Are you serious? It happens hundreds of times a day in national politics. Women are clearly held to a different standard. Its not debatable.

That isn't what I'm questioning.

Thought maybe the VP odds were gone for good, but looked just now and they are there.  Harrris still in command at minus 140 to win 100.  Rice 4 to 1, Duck 6 to 1, Bass fell back and is now 8 to 1.  Val's back in at 5th place over Warren, who is now 30 to 1!  Laters Lizabeth!
