Rasmussen and other recent polls

President Trump got the rally-around-the-flag uptick about a month ago, but while other Presidents saw approvals go into the high majority during crises, President Trump barely broke 50%.  After about two weeks, his approval faded - for context, a crises bounce lasted over a month for other Presidents.  Now he is sinking.  Rasmussen, a pollster who leans republican in his sampling and usually has more favorable Trump finding than other polls, just released something that should be alarming for President Trump:

-14 approval in its latest poll, possibly the lowest it has every had for President Trump and a few days before that it had him -11 one day and -12 another.  For comparison, it usually had him flat to slightly positive when other pollsters had him -6 to -10.

Since Rasmussen leans republican in its samples more than other pollsters, this could be a sign that Trump is losing some of his base.

That's a nice hot take but Trump isnt getting wiped out unless somehow Ohio and Florida flip blue which is highly unlikely. The election likely comes down to whether Wisconsin or Arizona go blue. The electoral college clearly favors the GOP and they know it which is one reason they try so hard to suppress the vote.

Ohio and Florida could very easily go blue if things turn out badly with the virus and economy between now and November.

I saw a Fla. poll just a few days ago that had it as ......Biden 46, Trump 40

In addition the unemployment system in Fla. is a disaster, people can't get signed up and republicans know it.

Nobody can get unemployment in WI either. Their website still says that people who weren't eligible until stimulus (my wife is a gig worker) shouldn't even sign up yet. They're waiting on implementation guidance from feds and will need to reprogram.

Trump will get crushed, again, in popular vote but may manipulate the laughably stupid electoral college again. Narrow path but fully realizable.

Yes, I wonder how dems win popular vote... Well shit, states run by dems require no voter ID or citizenship proof... LOL!!! Time to end that propaganda!!!

Clinton won the popular vote by 2.9 million votes. She won CA by 4.3 million votes.

Therefore, she LOST THE OTHER 49 STATES by 1.4 million votes.

This is the kind of stuff the leaders of the Dems are too libtarded to understand.

Sounds like Clinton crushed Trump in the popular vote.

Yeah, if your dumb ass thinks one state should decide who the president is.

Electoral college is too advanced for some ignorant fuck stick like you.
