Madden Enters the Gambling World

Yes, you read that correctly. Online sportsbook Bovada has created a fun avenue for sports bettors to put real money on Madden 20 sims. The games, which are conducted on Twitch via streamer livefootballsims, are happening four to five times a day.

On the March 30 docket, the Cincinnati Bengals collide with the Miami Dolphins (+3.5, O/U 51.5), the Pittsburgh Steelers do battle against the Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5, 54.5), the Dallas Cowboys clash with the Philadelphia Eagles (+4.5, 54) and the Detroit Lions cap things off against the Minnesota Vikings in the late game (-2.5, 51.5).

Bengals-Dolphins gets things underway at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by Steelers-Chiefs (3:30 p.m.), Cowboys-Eagles (7 p.m.) and Lions-Vikings (10 p.m.).

Aside from spreads, moneylines and totals, the shop is even offering props on the first touchdown scorer, first team to score and odds on whether the virtual contest will go to overtime.

On March 26, Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Vance McDonald cashed at +1000 to be the first TD scorer against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens went on to win 30-24 while covering the spread as 3-point favorites.

I know it's been mentioned, but I am automatically putting all new users on IGNORE.  If I start seeing people quote them, I'll look to see if they have been posting for a while.  There are way too many new names showing up during offseason and they just start right out posting.

They are testing betting on Madden because there will be no real season, college or pro.

Yep. You’ve been harping on it for over a month. Don’t think the smart ones haven’t been paying attention. We all know what’s coming down the line.

If you told me for esports I would have no problem. But simulation games? Fuck that.

They are already setting up an esports league.  I'm not sure, but the NFL may have something to do with it.
