Flacco Likely To Be Released

Recommended Posts

Just seen on Total Access that he’s likely to be released by the Broncos. Would be an intriguing backup option I would think. What about you guys?

I'd rather see the Titans add Winston if they are going to go the experienced vet route just from the potential upside but Flacco would work too.

I’m curious what the market value for Winston is though.
The media seemed to think it wouldn’t be cheap but I haven’t heard anything at all about actual demand.

I would think Winston would want to go somewhere where the young QB is shaky. Bills, Broncos... Unless you think Tannehill won’t stay healthy. I would think Saints could be another spot for Winston but Payton May have seen too much of him in division.

I agree that this likely would not be his first choice but I can see the fit.  I think his game fits the scheme and it would not be the worst hedge in the world against Tannehill.  If this is truly a championship contender, you'd hate to see it go to hell if Tannehill got hurt.

I agree. Would be a good fit.

We should sign Winston to a 1 year deal, but he is still considered a starter in the league.

Flacco would be a great backup who could step in and win us games. Especially with the talent we have here.

He is a starter. Will want too much money.

Where is he starting, chief?  He may have to play the backup game for a year.  I know this, I'd feel way better having Winston come in if Tannehill goes down than Flacco or a scrub like we had for the last 10 games of 2019.

No one bringing him in as a starter. Odds are better that he retires.
