Under a new CBA agreement 2 more playoff teams to be added from next season

Recommended Posts

That's fucking retarded.

6/16 from each conference is barely OK, with every playoff team at least being decent and almost always with a winning record.

Making it 7/16 (almost 50 %!!!), and that last team in will most likely be mediocre at best, with a good chance of having a .500 or below record.

That’s great.  It gives the team with the number one seed even more of an advantage and gives more teams a chance to play in the playoffs or compete at the end of the season while at the same time continuing to make it difficult to qualify since less than 50% of teams will make it.

There’s a very low chance a team at .500 will get in.  You still have less than half the teams in the league getting in.  You’re likely looking at another 10-6 or 9-7 team.

Most think it will be the 2022 season when the 17 game season will start.

I would think it’ll coincide with the new TV deals.

So the top team from each conference gets a bye while the remaining 6 battle it out in wildcard weekend?
