Spotrac is using 199M. That's going to be close.

That's the bottom of the range, but yeah I would think it would be more like 202 or 203, but regardless it's just a few million. The point is that we can sign the guys I mentioned and still have some cushion and money for the rookie pool.

The bottom line is we really don't have an accurate grip on how much cap space will be available until we see the structure and cap hit for RT and Henry. There is one other potential big number. How much space does JRob feel he needs to roll over into 2021 with 5 big contracts due? It was 20M this year. We don't have any idea of next year. Yeah, that's of course true. Would it be better (and less bothersome to you) if I just eliminated the estimated cap numbers? AussieTitanFan08
Still think what happens with Conklin is the pivotal point this offseason, retain Conklin and its highly unlikely the Titans will be a significant player in the free agency pass rusher market, let Conklin walk and I can see that cap room going towards a big name pass rusher, also if you let Conklin walk you are basically committing yourself to using a premium pick on a RT in the 2020 draft. Totally agree. The way I think of it is as simple as - you either let Conklin go, acquire a top pass rusher and draft a right tackle in the 1st OR you retain Conklin and draft a pass rusher in the 1st. Conklin really is the pivotal piece at play this offseason, as you said. Thrill
abenjami
I would be happy if this plan happened but I just don't see us signing Clowney. ctm

I see you've already dropped the available space for 83M to 72M. tgo

I’m not sure that he wants to play in a 3-4. But if he did, surely it would be here. He wants to play in a defense where he can fire off the ball every play, but that doesn't fit his skillset. freakingeek
Letting Ryan, Smith and Sims walk is depleting the secondary without any proven replacements. Smith is good depth and plays STs too and should be economically feasible. I would also tag Conklin If we don’t use it on someone else. edit; I didn’t notice you had Smith resigned at the vet minimum before I posted Edited February 7, 2020 by freakingeek
titanskick8851
The biggest key may honestly be in we can get Casey to restructure. If we can get him to cut it in half then we really could keep our options open with regards to available money.
