Just because we know someone's name doesn't mean we need to sign them. We have TEs on this roster who can get the job done. I want to save the money we'd spend here to do something more substantial to help the team.

He'll likely be signed by either the Redskins, Bills, or Seattle as he's visiting those teams this week.

Meh. It's a message board. And it's something to talk about. Relax.

Is he done?

Would be a good upgrade on Firkser if he's got some years left.

We aren’t going to replace Firkser. He is cheap and good depth.

We might need to replace Pruitt.

Maybe not replace him on the roster but possibly replace him on the depth chart. We could use a good all around TE that can catch and block like Walker use to do. Jonnu is an explosive athlete but he's not that guy. Firkser is alright but could easily be upgraded.

There are only two things you can really say here...sign him or don't sign him. We should have a thread only for people who think we should sign him?

We need at least 1 blocking TE. That's not Olsen.

You could narrow almost any topic down to a binary yes or no question if you wanted. That's pretty boring though.

Odd comment.

We need a TE that can do both. If that's not Olsen, that's fine. Don't know much about him, honestly. But we could use an upgrade at TE considering how much we use them and that we're probably losing Walker.

Just posted that because you insinuated that it was extreme for me to say we shouldn't sign him just because he's a big name.

We aren’t really losing a guy who hasn’t played in 2 years.

Jonnu is the starter and is a good one. Firkser is a good receiving TE. Both will return.

They just need a designated blocker. Maybe they bring back Pruitt at around $2.5m a year. Maybe they find another FA. Maybe they keep Walker for a year. Maybe they draft someone. We don’t really know yet, but I think it will need to be a blocking TE. Added receiving ability would be nice, too, but not a must.
