Your points are all true and well taken, but I think he did tap into something - falsely promising a manufacturing resurgence (instead we got a manufacturing recession), and then he DID tap into racism. All these factors melded together for the perfect storm of Trump's election 1. Hillary hatred 2. White racial resentment (mostly surrounding immigration) 3. Trump business/economic brand (horseshit) 4. Economic populist rhetoric (tariffs, manufacturing, energy production, etc) I have to disagree with you here. Its not like Trump had a great turnout of new voters. Yes, he spews racism and hate which galvanizes his base, but those people were never going to vote for Clinton in first place. He won mainly because Dem voters stayed home (Hillary). Like I said earlier, you can't change voters. This board is pure repeated evidence of this fact. You can only inspire new voters or create disinterest in existing voters, both were a perfect storm in 2016 when it was Hillary vs. Trump. Even this shittiest candidate in 2020 is more popular than Hillary. Dems just have to get the disinterested people in 2016 to actually show up and vote. Downtown
Mayor Pete spent the majority of his budget in Iowa. No surprise he garnered votes there. That Bernie is right up there with him is eye-opening.

He energized all the racists and they came out from woodwork to vote for him and spread hatred. He brought a ton of low information voters off the sideline while alienating intellectual conservatives. Number9

Bernie may be able to nudge it out in NV with NH momentum. Klobuchar is a walking dead man (woman) in this race.

You contradict yourself, as it's inherently more difficult to convert a larger number of people into sheep. Essentially you confirm that it easier to control an election by converting a lower number of potential sheep who have an disproportionate electoral impact -- especially drawing from a smaller populace that is more inclined to manipulation and seeking alternative agenda-driven 'news' sources. ctm
One person, one vote regardless of state where they all count the same is a terrible idea. /s Republicans will be bitching about it as well when Texas flips. Starkiller

reo
Haven't kept up w/ the thread but I just wanted to say it wouldn't surprise me if turn out for these are relatively low. Personally, I'm motivated to vote against Trump. I don't really care who his opponent is at this point. I'd vote for any of the Dems over his corrupt lying ass and I'm sure a ton of people are in the same boat. Starkiller, and 1yardshort 1
