I'm not sure the NFL or NFLPA would encourage a move like this, would also require both Beasley and the Titans being comfortable waiting till post the draft before signing the contract, i'm not sure Beasley's agents would encourage him to wait till post the draft to sign a contract as there is the potential for the Titans to draft an Edge guy and turn around and refuse to complete the deal with Beasley.

Strictly from exploiting a potential loop hole it would make a lot of sense for the Titans to delay making the deal official as losing Mariota would then result in a 2021 5th round comp pick which would be cancelled out if they completed the Beasley deal now.

We’ll get a 5th rounder probably if Logan Ryan signs elsewhere eh?

Not if he keeps stubbornly holding out for $10+ a season in a multi year deal, the longer he remains unsigned the higher the chance he has to settle for a mid tier 1yr deal probably earning $6-7 million for the season, that would only give the Titans a 6th or 7th round comp pick.

Agreed, and if that’s the case I hope it is the Titans giving him the 1 year 7 million dollar deal. It would allow us to fill the NB role, and draft a corner early to be Butlers successor and the #3 CB and primary backup to Butler/Jackson while Hooker/Cruikshank are the backup NB

I just don't think the Titans have any interest in signing Ryan and his replacement will be a highly drafted draft pick.  This is kind of JR's MO if you pay attention.

Agreed.

He’s a liability in deep coverage and I think they want to upgrade him.

When I first started reading this my response was, why the fuck is anyone reporting about some chick changing agents.

Gotta be honest...not a fan of the offseason plan so far. Not saying “the sky is falling” by any means but we have several big concerns and few draft picks to fill them with.

Same.

As I said earlier, they’re gonna roll into the draft needing a starter at CB, DL, RT and a major need at RB.

One of these is going to need to be filled by a free agent after the draft I’m guessing.

I would understand it more if we had a lot of draft capital this year, but we’re actually pretty low on early to mid picks.
