you really don't know what democratic socialism is and you're pretending that you know anything about politics?

Quit avoiding the question and enlighten us.  Tell us what Bernie's plan is, separate from just passing new laws to fund his programs.

Is this what Bernie is talking about?  If not, what is he talking about?

"I favor the public ownership of utilities, banks and major industries," Sanders told the Burlington Free Press in October 1976....

It's hard because what we are seeing is a dying party change the rules to hold onto power. The GOP is terrified of how America is changing and they know the writing is on the wall. Their last gasp eff

Here’s to hoping the establishment can squash this populist ruffian virus before our party gets fully infected the way the GOP did with Trump.

If a rolltide posts in the woods does anyone care since 75% of the board has him on ignore?

New laws are how things change in America if you don't remember 3rd grade...

stop being dishonest with yourself and asking dumb questions and maybe go do some reading.

Well its obvious now you can't or won't answer what Bernie vision of his socialism actually involves.  I've asked numerous times.  When you can't answer, resort to insults.....great way to unify democrats.

Andrew Yang had better idea.  Give everybody 1000$ per month.  They can pay their student loans with it.

I'm all for it...  Problem is, this needs to come AFTER some serious regulation is imposed.  Otherwise, the bloodsuckers at the top will just charge $1000 more per month and the people at the bottom won't be a bit better off.  Greedy fuckers.

you're in here requesting an education on the basics of democratic socialism on the titans report dot com message board when you can easily educate yourself through the power of the internet (which was created through government funding)

Any of the proposals. That's what it takes.....new law.

You're still avoiding my question.  Why do we need socialism and what does it look like?  But it's not you.  It's really Bernie and @Cornrow Wallace.  He's great about talking about the problem, but he can't tell us his solution....other than legislation.

No, he's not.  The depth of his analysis has been the "system is broken".  No insight as to what is broken.  If you can't define what's broken, you can't fix it.

I suspect a lot of Bernie Bros have no deeper insight than his.

I'm actually more for this than free college (though it shouldn't be able to be used or purchase for loans).

I think a day will come - and it may be closer than you think- were efficiencies in AI and robotics remove the need for most jobs.    Then all of the money will go to big companies that hold those robotics and jobs.   If we migrate that direction- there will be a need for a base way of living.  People may have to learn to be productive without a labor type job.

This sounds crazy but AI and robotics are already creeping into jobs like legal, healthcare, and finance.     Robotics has been taking over for labor jobs for years and continues in that direction.

Its going to take engineer's to fix cars and fix AI systems rather than mechanics.     That could be a good thing if we can find a way to deal with the loss of the need for human jobs.

maybe, just maybe, running on popular policies that the majority of Americans support is how he's going to win the presidency

what a crazy, radical idea

Yeah, obviously.  That's why I pointed it out.

I'm not against Bernie in general or anything but I think he will have a difficult time putting some of these proposals into action if he wins.  They're outlandish.

Ok, so people are too petty to be OK with forgiving existing student loans. I think it's stupid but fine.

Petty?  What the fuck is this?  Well, okay then, why don't we call for all debt forgiveness?  You agreed to your debt just like I did mine.  So what about it?

What about making public schools tuition free going forward so we don't burden the next generation with even more debt? Who feels slighted by that too?

I have no problem with this, but would probably find resistance.  First thing I'd do is reverse the law that student debt cannot go under bankruptcy.  Fewer people would have access to the loans, but it would clean up a lot of the problems.

I have an education...a degree in Political science and economics.  I've asked numerous times what is Bernie's version of socialism and you've done everything possible to avoid answering.

This is a terrible idea.  Everyone would just file bankruptcy right after they cashed their last student loan check.

The #1 issue is that our government is controlled by wealthy corporations (and is also full of corruption)

Sort of like when I asked him to explain what the "problem" is and his response was it's obvious (with no explanation).
