Given that Trump is likely a favorite against Sanders in the general election I think people who don't like Sanders should still vote for Democrats down ballot in 2020. Feel free to do what you need to in 2022 though.

Image holding your nose to vote for Sanders, but he loses and you helped hand the GOP complete control of the government by voting for a Republican congress.

Yeah, this is something that would hang over me.

I keep swinging back and forth on how I will approach this election. I may just sit back and see how it plays out and how Sanders handles attacks and evolves.

I noticed that he’s added some compassionate language and inclusive language to his stump speech lately, which is a good thing. But then his campaign or surrogates always inevitably end up saying some vitriolic shit.

It's hard because what we are seeing is a dying party change the rules to hold onto power. The GOP is terrified of how America is changing and they know the writing is on the wall. Their last gasp eff

Here’s to hoping the establishment can squash this populist ruffian virus before our party gets fully infected the way the GOP did with Trump.

If a rolltide posts in the woods does anyone care since 75% of the board has him on ignore?

I think many of his followers and surrogates are what they are. They aren't going to change.

Hopefully Sanders keeps up what you mention though.

I suspect who he selects as VP and who he floats as being in his administration could help heal some wounds. I don't think he is an asshole like some of his fans or like Trump so I don't think he'll go for the whole "bend the knee" approach you see from Bernie Twitter.

I guess we'll likely see though

I’m not sure what’s so complicated.

You vote Bernie because Trump is obviously worse.

You vote for Democrats in Congress because 1) Trump could win, and 2) Congress isn’t going to be able to pass most of what Bernie would like to do anyway, but they could pass things that moderate Dems in the senate would support.

There is nothing in that piece other than the party he was in at the time was against war with Iran. Where is the controversy?

He chose a socialist marxist party who sided with the Iranians over other socialist parties out there that weren't, left his own green type party he helped found to do it.

From the article

Virtually all Americans—Democrats, Republicans and independents—united in support of the hostages and the international call for their freedom. One prominent political figure on the 2020 stage, then almost completely unknown, stood apart by joining a Marxist-Leninist party that not only pledged support for the Iranian theocracy, but also justified the hostage taking by insisting the hostages were all likely CIA agents. Who was that person? It was Bernie Sanders.

)) )) ))

I deleted my longwinded post.  If the voting public can't figure this out, I don't think my words in this one post will help.  Fear not, I shall return soon.

I guess if you weren't old enough to remember or weren't born yet, the significance of that event, not that long after Vietnam was so discouraging, we were the country that couldn't lose and didn't have to take anything off of some small far away country, and yet we had been bested to a large extent by two, small, far away countries. To have taken the other side is kind of hard to fathom.

Umm sounds like Sander doesn't fall for all the "we were the country that couldn't lose and didn't have to take anything off of some small far away country" bullshit and realizes war isn't a game.

Supporting wars has been the easy thing to do for politicians in this country for way too long.

The Washington Post entrance polling also indicates Sanders did very well with voters under 65.

But yeah, blame millennials and uneducated people.

There's a lot to learn from these numbers...

1) pro communist

2) free stuff fools

3) we know who was colluding with Putin in 2016

4) absolute stupidity...

He still defends Castro who has destroyed a country. And dont give me that cuban health care crap- it sucks and none of you would put up with it. It is so great in Cuba that people still sacrifice their lives to leave and the country has to forcefully keep its citizens from leaving. The only immigrants that Obama went out of his way to deport.

So he honeymoons in the soviet union, likes Fidel,Ortega,Chavez and  yet you dumb fucks keep telling me he is not a Commie. There is an old term for you guys, useful idiots.

It always amazes me then liberals get a free pass with praises for communist dictators. Can you imagine the outcry if anyone said that Hitler provided full employment, no crime, and free education? The rhetorical bullshit from people such as that fat fuck Michael Moore to praise Castro is totally wrong. And Bernie has been a consistent admirer of commie dictators. The only reason he hates Putin is that they are no longer a communist country. Otherwise, he would love him.

But hey, bring him on. Lets see how he does once he is exposed to the country and needs more than whiny millennials wanting free stuff to get elected.

And his wife is ugly as shit.
