AussieTitanFan08
Conspiracy theory number 167 maybe Vrabel/Brady have cooked up this bout of rampant speculation to help Brady get more money from the Patriots and for Vrabel to make Tannehill aware the Titans have other options at QB if he pushes for too much money in contract negotiations. Not sure what they do at OT. But if you sign Brady, you have sky high expectations and anything less is a failure. Pressure will be on Vrabel to not fuck up. And also bring in another K for competition for Joseph. That’s really the only reason you make this move, if you think your current team could have won with Brady at QB and some upgrades. Then the plan is selling the future for a SB now. You would go all-in on the short-term plan and spend to make a monster that just needs a leader who can win in the playoffs: -Sign back all of your key FAs. -Even sign back Walker for the leadership role and playoff run. Those leaders are valuable. -Add a competent K. -Add two impact FAs on Def. Most likely pass rush. You can spend with the short term money savings. -In theory you are also adding Butler back at CB for the playoffs. -Draft for impact that can contribute early (RB in the 1st, athletic LBs, etc. Outside of Edelman, you have upgraded every spot on O for Brady and made a guy like Humphries even more valuable. A RB like D’Andre Swift in the 1st when paired with Henry really gives you a bruising running game to lean on all year. On D, you’re assembling even more pieces to a very solid core. Either way, win or lose, you’re going to need to address a whole new QB in 2 years and restart. DCTitan
Popular Post freakingeek
Tannehill’s legs are alone enough to earn him the position over Brady. He used them perfectly this year and made several big plays running. I think he can make every throw Brady could make. If we let Tanne walk and sign Brady, we’re taking a big step back from the progress we made this season. I am against it. It would scream nepotism. No1TitansFan
Brady is declining and Tanny did an admirable job; but much of elite QB play is done before the snap of the ball in today's league and no one is better at that than Brady. I do trust JRob to make the correct objective choice. scine09, and INTitan

scine09
This is not about "selling the future." You can win now with Brady and then find a replacement for two years down the line. If they think that Brady gives them a better chance to win than Tannehill then why is this "selling the future?"
