Side note on Bowen, who was Vrabel’s right hand man in Houston and followed him over -    He sat right next to Pees in the booth every game for the last two years as his wing man and underst

Yeah, I’m sure we’re gonna promote the quality control coach who has only otherwise ever been a high school coach to defensive coordinator.    Super likely.

That sucks. Did a great job overall. Especially at halftime adjustments.

Another nugget Re: Bowen -

He is the only coach that followed Vrabel from Ohio State to Houston to TN.

He is Vrabel’s guy - the only question is whether Vrabel thinks he is ready yet. Maybe he thinks he needs another year or two under a Romeo Crennel type.

Hats off to Pees. People didn’t necessarily like his hiring, but he was a damned good DC. It was the opposite of LeBeau, where everyone here was thrilled to get him and ended up being kind of a train wreck.

Also, he got to knock his former team out of the playoffs after their fans were so critical of him. I’d say that was the cherry on top of his career sundae.

Imo, Pees is the best defensive coordinator this organization has ever had.

It's the 7 degrees of Mike Vrabel with these coaches

Remember when Munch was hired and he was looking under rocks and going to the “people you may know” section on Facebook to beg people to be on his staff? ?

Re: Crennel -

Vrabel played under him in New England for years, in Kansas City for two years, and then coached under him in Houston for years.

Too bad we couldn't have gotten a younger Pees.  Guy was stellar.  We haven't seen halftime adjustments like we saw under Pees.

Indeed. Maybe Bowen learned some of his tricks.
