Tannehill is better right now than Rivers or Brady. What other options are there? He will be resigned and will be the QB for the next 3-4 years. We are at least 2 years away from the Titans drafting a potential starting QB.

Tannehill could easily play out a 5 year deal in today's NFL.

We can win with him as long as they commit to the right pieces around him.  He and Henry should be a package deal.

We still have Woodside, if he's still alive.

Woodside has been on the sidelines all year.  I was at the Carolina game and saw him pregame working out with Tannehill and Mariota.

Why can’t we draft a qb and sit him behind Tannehill for a season or two? Tannehill shouldn’t be the reason we don’t draft a qb

Tannehill will request a trade if the team spends a high draft pick on a guy after he signs a 3-4 year contract.

He had more pressure on him and his WRs weren't getting as good of separation.

The Chiefs receivers seem to have a 2-yard force field around them. They would just sit-down or come back to the ball to make most of their catches. Since I doubt they are dramatically better route runners, except for the speed advantage of Tyreek Hill, it must have to do with an ingenious scheme. Why can't our schemes be so effective?

Who cares? Tannehill isn’t the caliber player who should be demanding trades

They are good route runners, especially Kelsay, but the fact we decided not to pressure and force quick decisions meant Mahommes could just wait for someone to get open.

In reality I'd blame the loss more on not being more aggressive defensively and certainly someone should have knocked Mahommes into next week on the TD run.  About the only way you are going to stop them is to get a sack or something.  Sitting back and letting them pick you apart is stupid.  Plus our personnel also allowed them to run for 5 yards a pop whenever they wanted.  Pees was horrible IMO.

They can't not do this.

What is the other option?

franchise him for up to two years if needed and re-sign him if he proves himself capable of more without the run game. ... draft a couple mid round QBs in the mean-time unless somebody Jrob is in love with falls earlier

LOL @ mid round QBs. That's a joke

And franchising a guy two years in a row is worse than giving him a new deal

Not as bad as a 5 yer deal you cant get out of.

I'm not saying its the route.. but its a viable option and many people are saying the franchise tag is possible.

Then you don't sign him to be the starter for the next 3 years.

Tannehill is not going to get us to a Superbowl. Lets be realistic. The Talent level between him and Mahomes is night and day, and Mahomes is just getting started. Tannehill made an amazing run to get here, but he is not elite, and that was very apparent today.

I think that what was apparent was that we expected to to dominate the LOS on offense and run effectively like we did for this entire run. We didn't adapt and we are not set up to pass like KC is.

Don't think you can gage Tannehill's effectiveness in an offense set up to pass like KC's with the way we were set up and schemed this year. No, this isn't about saying Tannehill is better than Mahomes, it is about saying if you expect a QB to deliver bigger results in obvious passing situations you need to have an offense better designed for it.
