Nash
His comps put him at about 27 million per year.. if he plays like he did most of his starts, that would be a fair price..

Tannehill beat a lot of bad teams. Chargers, Bucs, Colts, Jags, Raiders, Texans (without starters). Playing at home for the division lead, we lost to Houston. Playing at home to keep pace of the playoffs, we lost to NO. If it wasn’t for Duck, we never know if he sees the playoffs. In the playoffs, he threw for less than 350 yds over 3 games. Of course, the competition gets better in the playoffs. This playoff run was powered by Derrick Henry, not the great fit of Ryan Tannehill. Of course, that’s just my opinion. Since Mac, we’ve had Young, Collins, Hasselbeck, Locker, Fitzpatrick, Mettenberger and Mariota at QB. I understand the desperation of the fan base for a franchise QB. But I just hope we don’t trade what we want most for what we want right now. I hope the FO stays the course.

A few of us knew Mariota was horrible and Tannehill was an upgrade even if he played at same level he did in Miami. The fact that Tannehill played an elite level was icing on the cake but it also reinforced how awful Mariota was and how weak all of his apologists were with regard to the excuses - coaching, scheme, talent around him...... A few lmao. 80% knew that Mariota was awful. One only needs eyes to see it. NOBODY knew that RT would play as we as he did.

NOBODY knew that RT would play as we as he did. Who is claiming they knew Tannehill would more than a bridge starter this year? I think most assumed he would a little better than Mariota at worst. No one thought he would be anywhere close to what he showed this season. The question is whether this level of success is sustainable moving forward. I have my doubts which is why I think he should be franchised.

The idea that Tannehill was better, let alone a lot better, was scoffed at even when it was obvious in preseason..... The majority of people even think that playing Mariota for six games was not a mistake. Mariota was grossly overrated in Tennessee and Tannehill was just as underrated. The fact that Tannehill played it in elite level isn’t relevant. OILERMAN, and luvyablue256

There were a vocal contingent of message board Mariota nut huggers to be sure, Bur acting like only a select few people with “exclusive forsight” were able to see how pitiful Mariota has been borders on delusional. RT is a different story. 99.9% knew that he possesses a much better arm than Mariota. The skepticism came in the form of concern that he could play more than two games without getting injured.
