He isn't coming back on his current 2020 salary.

Yeah I would think he’ll have to take a pay cut for sure if they kept him.

Would be surprised if he returns, the hope is he is healthy by March so they can free up his salary cap room if they choose before FA starts.

He will def have to take a pay cut to stay here. Sadly he will probably end his career somewhere else

Patriots, assuming Brady is still there.

Came in and produced. Titans have had a few Free agent hits over the years. Gotta put the guy in the same category with Nate Washington and Chris Hope. This organization is such a far cry from the Jeff Fisher days. Fisher was so loyal to old veterans who could no longer produce. This team now is quick to tell you to step your game up or take a seat. If you're old and can't produce then it's time to move on. It's a business not a charity or pity party. You made millions, More than 99% of most Americans make.

They aren't keeping him.

Walker and Wake are proof that mid to late 30yr olds have a hard time staying healthy in the NFL.

He isn't a full time player anymore and subject to injury anyway.  Plus you need those 2nd and 3rd TEs to play some STs.  Better off to look for a TE (another Smith) who might have some upside to eventually replace Walker (and Pruitt).  Maybe keep Smith on a long term deal because he won't cost that much and has improved his all around game.  Firkser is the pass catching TE now anyway and I'm not sure Walker is an upgrade to him.

Exactly.  It almost never works out.
