Recently Kyle made a post explaining how it had been a fun 20 years but with a lot of heartache.   Superfreak90 pointed out to Kyle imagine being a Browns,Jaguars, or Lions fan. Thinks about

This shit is fucking worse than Kyle’s shit.

The W-L record of thr last 20 years is so irrelevant.

Is this Mike Vrabel giving us a pep talk on accepting mediocrity??

Exactly my thoughts.  So what if the Titans have been less shitty than the Browns or some other teams?  Ultimately it has been 20 years of failure when you look at the trophy shelf.

Here's something interesting of note.  Check out Mike's list of teams with more wins than the Titans:

1---New England 263 wins

2---Pittsburgh 218 wins

3---Indy 216 wins

4---Green Bay 204 wins

5---Philly 200 wins

6---Baltimore 199 wins

7---Seattle 193 wins

8---Denver 188 wins

9---New Orleans 182 wins

10---Dallas 171 wins

10---NY Giants 171 wins

11---Tennessee 170 wins

There are 11 teams with more wins, and 10 of those teams won Super Bowls.

This should result in a banning.  This arbitrary 20 year record bullshit and the goddamn montage.

The team existed for almost 40 years in Houston and most of the good Titans players early on (along with the front office and coaches) were Oilers.

Bottom line is that the Titans have been bad or mediocre for far too long.  The bar should be the 1999-2003 period where the team was winning 11-13 games in the regular season and making playoff runs.

I appreciate the sentiment and positive spin, Mike, but telling myself "at least I'm not a Jags or Browns fan" doesn't help me excuse the mediocrity that I have helped finance for the last 20 years, to the tune of several thousands of dollars per year. I'm no bandwagon fan but I'm starting to think that money would be better spent someplace else.

Titans fans don't know shit about heartache compared to those of us who followed the team in Houston. Just look at the early 90's. :61_sob:
