Honestly, Daylight Savings Time is a huge example of how democracy fucking sucks. Like how the fuck is this still a thing?

What the hell does democracy have to do with anything? You act like the people voted for Daylight Saving Time...

We vote for people who make laws ya moron. TN for example passed a law to end DST. Problem: must be ratified by Feds.

Why the fuck do you think we have it? You think it's just a custom? It's a law dumbass. A law made by people we elected. And we can't get it changed no matter how much we moan.

Even in a Democratic government (Republic) we can't get the simplest shit done. The government doesn't make changes unless we completely lose our shit on them.

its the pace at which things move in a democracy that is the issue. That and the changing of policy every 2-4 years.

but its the best system in existence so not much else to do about it except learn how to streamline it.

You make it sound like eliminating Daylight Saving Time is caught up in gridlock. It’s not. There is no federal level movement to do anything at all.

Our form of government has nothing to do with it.

its not about daylight savings.. that switched.  its a critique of democracy, which is all well and good. each system has its advantages, ours is best i think.. but for getting large scale infrastructure and foreign policy... these commies here in china can have 40 year plans and stick with it without argument. doesnt mean its good or right, just easier to be efficient when theres only one united voice directing things.
