Vrabel lost the game not punting. Not not challenging.

I knew Tannehill was a better option than Mariota.....

Maybe I do....

Maybe Rivers throws a pick. Maybe we get a sack fumble recovery. A lot can happen when you have to drive 70 yards, not just 45.

You’re right, Rivers could’ve marched them right down the field like he did earlier.

Even dumber. One pass and they were in FG range....just dumb. Not happening with one 15 yard pass inside your own 20. So smart.

The smart play was to go with it. It was a horrible spot. If you wanna bitch then bitch about Vrabel not being good at challenges.

All irrelevant....

There was no downside to challenging it

The upside was keeping the timeout in case they scored

You mean like he did with only half the field?

Good thing Butler saved us with a PI and Gordon fumbled, huh?

Good thing Ryan made a game saving tackle, huh.

Yea, good thing. Otherwise we are 2-5 thanks to that dumb 4th down call.

Yall sound right because we got lucky. That's all.

No challenge was going to make a difference....

not to draw straws or getting into an ad absurdum

but appropriately, it would have been more suitable to say " not by not challenging "

I will give you credit though ..... "Not Not" is quickly becoming my favorite phrase.
I'm about to use this shit to it's absolute maximum impact.

Nah. Just a retard.

When I signed on I figured everyone would be praising Vrabel for going for it and ripping him for not challenging the call.  I didn't think for a second that a single poster would be critical of Vrabel for not punting it.

Can you imagine if they'd punted instead of going for it on 4th and a friggin inch and they lost???

Actually if we punted there we probably end up in over time.  Rivers gets them down field for a FG.  Going for it and making it basically ends the game and I think he made it despite the fact it was a poor effort by Tannehill and the OL.  The refs had a horrible spot and it is tough to get those plays over turned.  I bet if we challenge they move the ball up half a yard and still miss it on the measurement.  It was simply a horrible spot.
