Yes. You can argue that in hindsight they should've saved the picks in case Trubisky didn't work out.

No you can't. When you think you have a good, young, cheap QB, you take advantage.

Both teams did what was in the best interest of their teams. Just because you think one team won the trade doesn't make the other team dumb for doing it.

But they thought they had their guy which is why they made the move.

Agreed. Doesn't make OAK dumb for making the trade though.

QB is the most important position in football, an elite pass rusher is a pretty close second. The Raiders had a piece and they shipped it without a plan at QB.

Their plan is to build a solid team and make it easy for whatever QB they go with.

They are trying to build their OL so whatever QB they go with isn't playing on his ass.

Again, not rocket science.

THAT you can argue.

The Bears picked Trubisky over Mahomes and Watson (and even traded up one spot to do it).  Ruston Webster level incompetence

@AussieTitanFan08 make sure you start the real weekly NFL thread so we don't have to sully its good name with simple Jake's thread.

Lmao. Those threads usually have about 5 pages. But it's a "real" thread. Lol. My thread has had more action than the past 2 "real" week threads.....

And that plan generally doesn't amount to shit either lol. Cleveland did the same shit and in the end it took a QB to build excitement and make big moves ... and again it still hasn't amounted to shit.

Keep your stars. Mack was a star.

The Raiders haven't used their capital on a QB though. So they're both dumb for trusting their QB, but Chicago has a HOFer on the defensive line at least. We know what he'll do, we don't know what the Raiders will do or what a new QB will do.

In the end, a bunch of picks don't mean shit unless you get them right.

You get a HOFer on your roster you keep him. Because that's what you scout and draft to find. That's the point. To find those kinds of players.

Maybe they think it's better to build a solid team so whatever QB they pick isn't struggling with shitty help...

Ever think of that?

You think th ey should have invested in a QB with the crap they had on the team?

And ppl wonder why CLE went 15 years trying to find a good QB....

All they fucking did was draft QBs without giving them help....

You continue to look lost.

Who are you going for today? Colts or Texans? We lost to Indy but Houston at 5-2 would not be good either. Its a toss up for me

How dare you sully my thread with this "real" talk....lol

Tough call. I'm going for hard hitting. Hopefully both endure a lot of injuries in that game.

Yes, maybe that's what they think, doesn't mean they're right. And they definitely haven't proven it was a good move. And you haven't prove it.

In the end if all this makes them 3-2 with the roster they currently have it wasn't worth it.

They'll need to show more talent than this.

Doent mean they're wrong. Pete Carrol built a solid team and wilson fell in their lap.

There's more than one way to skin a cat....or build a winner.

Ppl got caught up in this "find a QB and build the team around him" BS. You need to do that for shitty QBs like Mariota.

You can build a solid team first.

Steelers did it with Ben.

Seahawks did it with Wilson

Chiefs did it with Mahommes...

There are more examples, I'm sure....Ravens and Flacco?

How has TEN been drafting Mariota with a shirty team? How about CLE always picking QBs with a shitty cast?

How about Arizona with Rosen and now Murray?

Maybe ppl will stop with all this "find your bum ass QB and build an offense to his strengths".

Maybe they'll start building a solid offense and find good QBs who can run them....

LOL OK but you're whole point was to prove it was the right move ... and you haven't proven it. You've admitted that.

Thanks for playing.

You got owned. You look ignorant and continue to look childish.

Your point was it was the wrong move.

And you havent proven it....

LOL OK

Damn, how easy and lazy that is.....your argument skills are worse than Mariotas QB skills.

Jake ... you logic trapped yourself. You're the one in here spiking the football when you yourself aren't even sure if it's worked.

Right now, like you said, the Raiders haven't show that they have a better roster. The Bears have.

Not my fault.

Thanks for playing.

My logic tapped itself? You're clueless. In denial.

Just remember that OAK isn't done with their improvements post Mack trade.

Keep that in mind as you continue to think they were dumb....

In the grand scheme trading Mack still doesn't make sense. The Raiders haven't improved their roster in any way but the loss of Mack has had an impact.

That was my point @JakePA_Titan

Again, you're trying to prove a point that you don't have yet.
