The PFF Player Grading Scale:

  • 100-90 Elite
  • 89-85 Pro Bowler
  • 84-70 Starter
  • 69-60 Backup
  • 59-0 Replaceable

So basically, he played at a legit elite level with a week of practice...

Also basically... the Jets, Raiders, Dolphins, Panthers, Giants, and maybe even the Bills are all biting their knuckles right now.

Let's do it again next year!  Totally worth the wait

I’m telling you guys, when they teach this guy the proper technique to 1 gap he’s going to be unstoppable. Right now he’s constantly engaging with the OL, or at least that’s what he did Sunday and all throughout his collegiate career. The burst is there though. You can see it. Teach him how to unleash and stop reading all of the time.

One pundit said he bench pressed the guard backwards about 4 yards on the goalline stand which led to the fumble. He is a beast.

Dude he was punching the fuck out of those linemen. I bet they were shook when he hit em and just bowled em back.

Here's what an idiot doc said during the game at 3:54pm

he does look like he stumbled there because of a knee weakness. and then he even kind hops like its got some pain a bit at the end there.

Spot on. Isaiah Mack is another good add as a UDFA. I love Da’Quan stepping up his game. We need that.

Offseason, I try to get Wake for one more year, and then try to get an elite pass rusher high in the draft, by the 2nd round. If the Titans retain Tannehill and still draft a QB in the 2nd (unsure if feasible yet) I would even entertain EDGE in the first.

didnt we sign wake for 3 years?

Only raiders and dolphins blew it. Ferrell has been very meh and Wilkins looks like hes destined to be a JAG

Not to be that guy but I called both of those. Never got the Wilkins hype.

Our front almost never one gaps, so that’s really a scheme thing. One of the main reasons why Simmons was drafted was because he’s so good at two gapping, making him a great fit for the defense.

About what I expected. I believe Wilkins will eventually develop his game if his attitude stays clean, similar to Casey, but he'll never be what Simmons can be if he heals thru this.

In those two,  I just never saw monstrous or explosive athletes that were going to just flat overwhelm NFL offensive lineman and IMO that's what you have to be to warrant a high pick. If you don't have that kind of physical talent then you need to be a polished technician like the Bosas. My D linemen of choice this year were Simmons and Burns. Both displayed elite traits. It hurt when the Panthers took Burns but all was forgotten after the Simmons pick.
