He only had 2 tackles but was doubled a lot. He missed Casey One of the TFL made by I can't remember who was made because Simmons blew up the line and diverted the RB to the outside. That's the only good play I can remember. Edited November 11, 2019 by Supdawg OILERMAN
Alcibiades
Simmons can't do it all, but he played fine. He gets double a lot, and as Oman noted, he needs Casey. Simmons was still pushing guys back, and he even stunted on a few plays, which was interesting. He's got a good burst, especially for his size. As an aside, that Landry sack was something else. I saw him against 3 guys atleast twice and like i said in the game thread the run d looks so much better with him. When we drafted him i wasnt very happy but even not looking like a world beater im happy. ChemEngr79
CaliTitan3518
A DT doesn’t always show up on the stat sheet. If LBs are getting praise you know the DTs are doing their job. The fact that we are getting quality play out of Simmons this soon is great. I can’t wait to see him next year healthy. When watching possible picks i look for something dominating. I saw solid but not overwhelming play from him. I will never hide from what iv said and that is why I admitted 2 my mistake. Alcibiades
That's surprising. His college tape POPS. OTOH, if you watched full games or saw his stats in college, you could come away underwhelmed. Opposing teams keyed in on him a good bit. He got TRIPLE teamed in college in many cases (and KC did it too!). But he still made plays. The guy has generational upside. No homer, but total homo from me. No1TitansFan
On the blocked FG, he bulldozed his guy way back into the backfield and might have had a shot at blocking it.
Tomachek
Man I would love to pair Simmons with another strong athletic DE like Kinlaw. Draft crush at DE.

Jones has been playing at a very high level this year so far. Jones has been playing mostly Nose Tackle, we need a DE opposite of Simmons. Unfortunately, Casey is starting to rack up the injuries the past couple years.
