Find a Mulvaney quote that talks about a quid pro quo in regards to Giuliani. That is your golden goose although even that is problematic and not necessarily wrong.

But, you don't have that and the politico article was devoid of it as well. Maybe it is out there, that's why I am asking you goons to go find it to support your conspiracy theories. Right now, you have no support.

The investigation wasn't into Democrats, it was into the origins of the Russian Collusion Hoax. There is a HUGE difference. Which is why fake news politico fabricated a headline.

The real sleight of hand is you trying to pretend that these are separate things.  The bogus DOJ investigation involving Ukraine got rolled right up into the attempted Biden smears. The intention of both the "investigation" and the smear are to give Trump ammunition going into the 2020 election. Trump wanted to have "evidence" to say "Russian collusion was actually a Ukranian plot" which makes me innocent and oh by the way my opponent had corrupt business dealings in Ukraine. Telling Ukraine we'll only meet with you if you open an investigation/give us evidence that validates our conspiracy theory that will help us in 2020 is just as damaging and self-serving a quid pro quo as the Biden stuff. You guys keep trying to pull the wool over peoples' eyes with your bullshit but it's not flying we know it's corrupt as fuck. If the Biden stuff was purely and unbiasedly about corruption then why was the Trump administration demanding that Ukraine not only open an investigation into Biden but to do so via a PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT? The answer is obvious if you're not a total sycophant so I'm not surprised you can't see it. Again, y'all aren't fooling anyone. You aren't that smart and you're certainly not as smart as you think. Your boy is getting his dumb ass impeached because he isn't as smart as he thinks either.

You know what's amazing?  If not for the whistleblower, none of this would have ever come to light.  As Mulvaney said yesterday, they do this all the time.  Can you imagine how many other times things like this have happened that have never been made public?

Right? Drug dealers sell drugs all the time that doesn't make it right or legal. Corruption is just integral to do way Trump does business and it always has been. People wanted a president who would "run this country like a business" and what they got was one that is running this country just as corruptly as he ran his businesses. That's what happens when a population of people come to view businesses as the ultimate expression of American values.

This point cannot be stressed enough.  It's not even debatable.  The public announcement is all about feeding innuendo and misinformation efforts and serves no legitimate investigative purpose.  And contrary to Barr's DOJ view, a public announcement the only valuable output of the whole scheme, since it's baseless to begin with.

Trump has not only failed to protect our next elections.  He and his repub cronies are actively pushing millions of dollars worth of false ads right now.  If he gets more free dirt from another country -- hey just load it up into the bullshit spreader, keep the base riled up, and reap the rewards

If you were ever looking for a tell-tale the public announcement is it. There is simply no way to spin it. The Obama administration kept the Trump investigations quiet so as to NOT affect the 2016 election. Trump and co desperately WANT a PUBLIC investigation into Biden with the sole aim of damaging him politically and therefore helping Trump. The truth is just much simpler than the lies this time around which is why even the average American citizen can see that Trump at least appears to be a corrupt, self-serving goon.

The problem with ignoring them is.....they vote. They pack arena's and civic centers and they vote and ignoring them is part of the reason we got into this current situation that we are in.

These assholes are just noise on a message board.  The only reason they disrupt the adults in the room is because people respond and play their games.  Take away their fun and you'll take away their voice.

And the echo chamber has been in full press mode to discredit the whistleblower and anyone associated with him/her since.  Here is a great read on their misinformation tactics

The guys on this board don't typify that kind of Trump voter. Certainly there are some Trump voters who voted for him out of frustration with a status quo that they feel left them behind. These are people you can talk to. The assholes on this board are not that; they are purely tribal and wish for nothing more than liberal tears no matter how the have to get them. The most (not all) of the conservatives on this board are beyond reason. Believe me, many of us have tried.

Who cares? They aren’t going to change their vote because you “beat” them in an internet debate. They are dedicated Trump cultists.

This repub should just call out the president directly.  Trump is the guy dividing the country by railing on with conspiracy bullshit and other false claims -- not the Dems who are forced to stand up to the guy the repubs are afraid of.

Rep. Francis Rooney (R-Fla.) on Friday knocked unproven election interference allegations against Ukraine that have been floated by President Trump and his personal lawyer recently.

During an appearance on CNN, the GOP lawmaker was asked about Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) comments from a contentious meeting with Trump at the White House earlier this week in which she reportedly said, "All roads lead to Putin."

Rooney, a member of the House Foreign Relations Committee, said he was "skeptical" about her comments but pushed back on the unproven election interference allegations from 2016 linking Ukraine to a Democratic National Committee (DNC) server.

"I've got to say, this business about the Ukraine server, which no one had ever heard about until it was mentioned recently tells me — What, are we trying to exculpate Russia?" Rooney told CNN's Poppy Harlow.

"All of our trained intelligence officials have consistently corroborated that Russia was behind the election meddling, not the Ukraine," Rooney added.
