First. Trump did not 'direct' him to do anything. He asked for help. Secondly,  that specific scenario you laid out, probably not. But does it matter that it is Biden during an election year? Is he off limits? This was a known situation that did not get the attention it may deserve. Are you afraid of what might be found?

I disagree that he did not direct him. He most certainly explicitly told him what he wanted done. That is directing someone. I didn't say he ordered or commanded him to do it but he most certainly directed him. And of course you won't find an example like this because no other sitting U.S. President has been so brazenly lawless that he actually thinks there is nothing wrong with using his office in such a way as to help himself in an upcoming election. Well, there was one other guy but he got impeached and later resigned...

Furthermore the fact that it is Biden and in an election year is actually the most relevant thing about this because it shows intent. If it was Trump investigating someone irrlrvant like Jill Stein 3 years ago barely anyone would give a shit because she is obviously no threat to him and 3 years ago is unlikely to affect 2020. Anyone looking at the situation objectively can see that at least on it's face it appears Trump is trying at the very least get dirt he can use on the political rival he thinks is the strongest and used his influence as president to do it. It would take one being incredibly charitable to Trump to not at least see what this looks like.

Finally, I don't really like Joe Biden like that. I prefer like 3 other candidates before him so if some legit stuff comes out that sinks him it just makes it that much more likely that I get my Bernie/Warren presidency. I'm not scared of anything and you can look all over my posting history and never find an instance where I'm saying someone should be immune from investigation. In fact the only people I ever see saying that someone should be immune from any and all consequences it's Trump supporters. Of course, they're never nearly as charitable to anyone on the other side.

Why isn't more being made of Trump trying to cover his tracks with his after-the-fact phone call in which he says "I WANT NO QUID PRO QUO" -- a phrase he only learned after the whistle blower came for

I feel so much better knowing the man who paid 140k to a porn star before the 2016 election to buy her silence, is looking into possible corruption of another candidate.

The current Republicans in Congress are straight cowards.

The issue here is simple.  We have allegations made by an individual who got their information 2nd and 3rd hand.  Right away that is hear say and not admissible in any court.  If those individuals cannot be brought forth for questioning this is a nothingburger and the Dems know it.  The whole point of this is to smear Trump and make this carry on through to the next election.  They know they do not have the good for a real impeachment which wouldn't make it out of the Senate anyway.  Adam Shit is so over the top in his characterization of the phone record he is out right lying.  Literally making shit up as he goes and the media and Dems are too stupid or biased to raise a concern.  Had this been a Dem under the same circumstances the whole issue would be laughed at and thrown out.  Also add in that the whistle blower report seems totally contrived.  Like a bunch of anti-Trumpers sat down and wrote a novel.  And no, despite what the media, Adam Shit or anyone says the phone call is not damning unless you bend, twist and assume.

With that said Trump does need to be more careful in how he picks and chooses his words and actions because he needs to know there are people lurching in the shadows just looking for anything they can magnify into something.  It is a shame our country is being put through this.  We had the previous president, ON TAPE, doing something you could call treasonous if you put the same bends and twists on it.  Far worse.  And yes, only a few years ago we had a double standard for Obama and Hillary and that is fair game to compare the behaviors and how those scenarios were handled.  Some brain stem will state whatabout because that is all they have.

Oh, meanwhile the Dems have no problem with Biden being president despite the obvious issues with his son gaining millions because of his influence as VP.  You see, that is OK.  Imagine if that was Trump Jr.  Or Pense's son.

^^ emblematic of most of the Republican base. Can't defend it. They're close to tipping. But still willing to make excuses and try and pivot to Dems while calling the whole thing partisan.... when you don't even know who the guy is.

Go back to just yesterday in my posts and I say the Trump holding back money from Ukraine should be looked at.

Now it is your prerogative to interpret what Trump said. It doesnt change the fact he did not say that.

Now there are reports that the investigation into Barisma and Hunter Biden were not closed (1 out of 3 closed) and the prosecutor who was fired was not corrupt. Dont you think that should be flushed out?

Also Warren has no chance as she will not get the African American vote.

The false equivalency that conservatives are trying to make with Biden is both obvious and fundamentally wrong.  It's the same tactic they always use but the problem is one of these men was acting on behalf of the US Government in the interest of the US government and the other was attacking a political rival for personal gain through the withholding of US Government resources.  Those are very different things.  They keep pointing out the stuff about Biden's son even though it's been widely reported that it was only a very small part of a larger investigation into the previous president who fled the Country a full two years before this stuff went down and that the investigation into Biden's son wasn't even open anymore when this all happened.  He had nothing to gain personally.  They know that though.  It's just more of the same desperate deflection as always.

It's being reported the 2 of the 3 investigations were still open into Barisma. Do you think that should be looked into?

My God.  It's OK for Trump shit on the law as long as it can't be proven in court?

And who has to imagine Trump Jr. benefiting?  His whole fucking family has benefited from his presidency.

Then why is Biden on video claiming he was fired?

Lol what is your point?

I guess he was “fired” (AKA removed) by vote of the parliament? You think its a hoax that the Ukrainian parliament voted to remove him or something? Lol.

The whistleblower said his info came from half a dozen sources, all of which were consistent.  His allegations will rise or fall on the facts, one of which is the transcript of the phone call which shows Trump pressuring the Ukrainian president.

The facts are already there - by Trump’s own admission. It’s just a matter of educating the public and getting them squarely on board.

The transcript the WH released corroborates the report perfectly.
