Callidus
So I know everyone has opinions about PFF. I was just wondering since we get them so often who lands where.
Mythos27
It's no perfect but it's probably the best tool we have.
Callidus
This was about judging public openion. Idc if any1 else replies 2 this thread other than 2 keep it alive. It is all about where the votes land.
nine
I'd say ALL info is good info. PFF established a system of metrics for grading each player's individual performance. It's good, solid info....but it's based strictly on execution; it doesn't account for critical influences like coaching, playcalling, and strategy. Their info certainly has value...but it doesn't tell the whole story. It's just one piece of the bigger picture.
Justafan
I like PFF, especially on line interaction stuff but some of their grades are way off and leave me scratching my head. There's a ton of info they can't possibly know that heavily influences what the grades should actually be and they release the grades so fast that they couldn't possibly break down every play the way they claim they do. Still, it gives a baseline and is incredibly useful for the layman fan who has no clue about the little things that non skill guys are doing.
Supernope
I dont follow much college ball so I enjoy that side of it. I typically seek out the "how the top prospects performed this week" article.
WG53
They are and always have been shit. They give out grades without knowing scheme or assignment. They're great if you don't know what you are seeing while watching football.

Mythos27
The thing with pff is that they run a system and like all systems they can be gamed by misleading data. You just have to be discerning of high . Usually when PFF tells you a guys sucks though, he really does suck.
