No...it's not be silly with every freaking thing.  There are plenty of routes where there is only one receiver in goal line formations.  It was a heavy package and the design of the play was to make t

Derrick Mason discusses this on 102.5 the game this morning.. he pointed out Mariota ‘s flaws including lack of a consistent platform, feeling pressure when it wasn’t there , and a lack of accuracy wh

Cosell reiterating what many of us also said is not digging on or hating on anyone.  It’s the reality.

If you want to have a reasonably productive passing offense with Mariota on the field, you have to maximize the one read, RPO, play action, and boots that condense the field for his progressions.  The coaching staff, as did the prior ones, know this.  So do opposing coordinators.

Did anyone really expect a complicated passing game with two starters out agains Garrett, Vernon, and Richardson? Come on. Mariota executes the game plan. We’ll see how it goes. I’m not really even hopefully, but digging the guy for having a solid game makes no sense.

He doesn't make many mistakes.  That goes a long way on a good team.  But there have been superior passers like Tannehill and Foles who have been crucified because of what was expected of them vs what they could provide on bad teams.   Mariota is fortunate to have gone to a team which understands his limitations with a defense which has kept things manageable for the offense

Seattle runs pretty much that system; Ravens put up 59 running it and the Titans put up 36.

Well the difference is that Wilson is legit elite QB with top tier accuracy with the numbers to prove it.  He’s the epitome of what you want in terms of consistently high efficient QB play in a run oriented offense.

Now if Seattle has to pass to win, they can but they don’t want to.  I don’t think that applies to Baltimore or Tennessee.

I need to see more from Lamar Jackson before I go anywhere near that level.  The same applies for Mariota.

That isn’t what he was saying.

I think it actually was.

Now OMAN is misrepresenting what Neil O'Donnell said on PK's podcast, but OMAN is known to misrepresent people to fit his own narratives. I don't do that.

NOD was on Kuharsky's podcast today and he said he thought they could win games with MM(defense running game etc....) but talked about some of the same limitations. He said he wouldn't pay him at this point and unless he makes a big jump would bring in a veteran next year.

He said he'd have MM run more too.

NOD said all QBs would love to have 5 years to prove themselves(sarcastically) and also said changing OCs isn't really an excuse. He said it's all basically the same stuff and once you know you know it.

Kuharsky didn't sound very high on what he did Sunday and talked about the 1 read stuff.

This is mostly right but he does seem to say they should pay Mariota under certain conditions.

He said he believes in Mariota and they can win with him but isn't sure he's worth 30 million since he's injury prone.

He thinks it's winning and staying healthy that he needs to do. They should make the playoffs and go deep (AFC Championship). If he doesn't do that he does think they have to go somewhere else.

It's interesting that he says the franchise can't afford to draft another rookie though. He likes Joe Flacco (LOL). But he says not Flacco, just someone like him. [So... a washed up terrible vet? ELI MANNING! ??]

PK says he's not sold on Mariota.

NO says he wouldn't worry to much about footwork or mechanics.

NO says he'd work with Mariota on his pre-snap reads, getting through his progressions faster. If he speeds that up then the ball will come out faster. Then the ball would come out on time.

Too bad the rest of the podcast where they talk about RT is behind the paywall!
