Titans Add Hroniss Grasu; Waive Dawkins

Recommended Posts

Grasu is a center really, so what this likely means is that Douglas is going to be the starting right guard going forward and will no longer be available as the primary swing backup iOL or primary backup center.

Probably  just waived him to avoid guaranteeing his salary.  Now that week one is past they can add and drop him from the roster as needed.

That's what I’m thinking. Maybe they keep him until Lewan comes back and they need to free up a roster spot. By then, Pamphile is no longer the swing OT (because Kelly isn’t starting anymore) and he can go back to being the primary backup interior OL.

Maybe to move Jones to RG for now?

No, Jones is still the starting C. If Grasu was good enough to start they wouldn’t have cut him.

I would think Stinnie or Quessenberry would be the one to go next, depending on timing.

Man, they're doing everything possible to get Mariota to agree to an extension!

All that would take is to offer him one
