248 and 3TDs.   Mariota just rammed his fist up Omans ass and turned him into a hand puppet.

After re-watching the first half and rewinding plays several times....I feel a lot better about Mariota's performance.   I'm not saying it was a Mahomes-esque showing or anything....but compared to pr

mariota left about 4 plays on the field today and came away with 3 TDs and no TOs and no even close to INTs mayfield threw a TD to the other team, took a safety, fumbled on a sack, threw 3 picks,

the point to pin this was to have a weekly rebuttal thread (instead of multiple threads of Mariota Sux) or until the point in time where a benching would take place ... which happened.
ergo, this thread served it's purpose and to some degree vindicated O-man

Seriously.....

Jon Robinson has done a good job as soon as he sees a player isn't working he gets rid of them. He cut Parrish Cox mid season, he sent DGB packing, he sent Dodd packing.

He totally screwed this season by putting hope Mariota would turn things around and do something he had already proven he couldn't do. Vrabel even said they kept Mariota as the starter because they wanted to give him a few games with Lewan on the field? WTF? So they clearly thought of replacing him even sooner. You really thought MM would turn things around once they added Lewan? Idiotic.

The first 6 games were all very winnable with better QB play. 2-4 might be too big a hole to climb out of even if Tannehill plays well and the offense turns around.

They clearly wanted to replace him earlier and couldn't because of one person; AAS. I imagine they wanted to move on last year but couldn't due to the freak nerve injury.

You don't know this at all, and that's giving a clear pass to Vrabel and Robinson. AAS does not seem like the type to meddle. Sure they'll ask her her opinion on big decisions like this, but Vrabel seemed to be the one who was making the decision, especially after the Falcons game

JRo and Vrabel look bad almost no matter what.

If Tannehill plays well and the offense is scoring more they look really stupid for staring Mariota and starting 2-4.

If he plays well and the offense still sucks then they look less bad for starting Mariota but they look bad because the rest of the team/scheme is the problem.

If he plays poorly and the offense around him still sucks it brings their whole offensive vision into question and they look bad

There's pretty much no outcome that makes the team look good, but winning would paper over how poorly they managed the situation.

The only way to feel good about it is to say AAS "convinced" them to stick with MM.

Its wishful thinking to think otherwise based on data since AAS took over. Everything adds up. The alternative is that Vrabel and Jrob are morons.

Mariota had to look terrible in training camp. I mean he has no arm strength. It shouldve been noticable. But you cant really start the first game with Tannehill because people(uneducated) would be booing him early on and he just wouldnt have gotten the support.
