Dak Prescott Reportedly Turns Down $30 million/year offer

Recommended Posts

These guys wanting to be the highest paid because of their ego. I remember when you had to actually accomplish something, MVP, Super Bowl or something along those lines to say I want to be the highest paid QB. Now you have chumps like Prescott who has not achieved that much wanting to be one of the highest paid. These QBs are sabotaging their teams.

probably agents more than anything but it's just nuts.  same with RB's...your reign is over..you ain't getting paid like the top player on the team and sorry that hurts your feelings but it is what it is.  You still gonna make a few mill and if you can catch the ball then even more.

OILERMAN

He has leverage, they can’t use the 5th year option and the Cowboys have other players who they have to sign

QBs have all the leverage. Certainly over any team who considers themself a contender.

You throw the whole team right out the window if you lose your starting QB.

Must have been no guaranteed money with it.

yeah...throwing out $30 mill a year really means nothing in terms of what the actual offer was.

If it's about gaurenteed, what's with the "seeking 40 per". The per year has nothing to do with more gaurenteed. It's not like it says "wants more gaurenteed".

the ones who put this shit out there don't want to take the time to actually look at the #s...they just want to throw shit out there.  The only truth may be that he turned down their offer..the rest is just shit.

By that logic, the entire report may be shit. As you even said "only truth may be.....".

If I'm to believe he turned that down, I'm also to believe the 40 per is accurate.

It always about the terms with these big nfl contracts. The display numbers mean nothing.

Difference in 10 million per means nothing? Just because there's more importance put on the gaurenteed?
